LV Revanth is an Indian playback singer who mainly lends his voice to Telugu songs. He is best known for being the winner of the ninth season (2016) of Sony TV’s Indian singing reality show Indian Idol. LV Revanth rose to fame by singing the song “Manohari” in the pan-Indian film Baahubali: The Beginning (2015).

Ravens wanted to be a singer from an early age. He has participated in district and state level competitions in Visakhapatnam. After graduation, Ravens moved to Hyderabad to get opportunities in professional playback singing. Revanth made his acting debut in 2008 with the song “Jalak Diklaja” from the Telugu film Maha Yagnam (2008), composed by Vandemataram Srinivas. In 2013, Revanth made his singing debut in Kannada in the film “Koffee With My Wife”, where he lent his voice to three songs: “Chakkani Vaadey”, “Govinda Govinda” and “Saayare Sayya” composed by Manthra Anand. In 2017, Revanth sang his first Hindi song, which was the title song of the Indian reality show Sabse Bada Kalakar on Sony TV. In 2019, he made his Tamil debut with the song “Vithi Nathiye” from the film Saddam composed by Arun Raj. In 2008, Revanth participated in ETV’s Telugu singing reality show Saptaswaralu.
In the same year, he participated in Star Maa’s Telugu singing reality show “Super Singer 5” and won the second place in the show. In 2013, Revanth emerged as the runner-up in the seventh season of Star Maa’s Telugu reality show Super Singer.
In 2014, he served as a mentor in the Star Mom variety show “Super Singer 8”. In December 2016, LV Revanth participated in the 9th season of the Hindi singing reality show Indian Idol and was declared the winner of the show. As a reward, he received a music contract from Sony Music, a Mahindra KUV100 and a cash prize of Rs 25 lakh. Ravens spoke of his excitement after winning the season title in an interview, saying:
“Now, I am on cloud nine. I am very happy to have won this competition. I would like to say that my life has just begun now. As a South Indian singer, it is not easy to win this title. I think this show is a Big opportunity. This four-month journey with this show has completely changed my life.”
In 2020, Revanth appeared as a jury member in Zee Telugu’s singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa- The Next Singing Icon. In 2022, he served as a mentor in Zee Telugu’s show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa – Singing Superstar. In the same year, Revanth participated in the Telugu version of Star Maa’s Indian reality television show Bigg Boss 6 and won.
