Lady Gaga Struggles to Hand Out Popcorn at Joker: Folie à Deux Screening in High Fashion Look

Some lucky fans saw the new Joker: Folie à Deux with the addition of popcorn from Lady Gaga herself.

On September 21, the Oscar winner appeared at an early screening of her new film in Los Angeles and threw popcorn into the crowd. X user @ivic101 shared the sweet moment in the video.

Lady Gaga (who plays Lee, the version of the popular DC Comics character Harley Quinn) can be seen in a glamorous all-black dress with large puffy sleeves. The haute couture look meant she struggled to hand out hefty bags of popcorn.

“Enjoy the fucking show!” she told the audience, after mostly throwing popcorn at those in the front rows.

At the end of the video, she dropped some snack bags on the floor, but shrugged off the miss by simply laughing and picking them back up for viewers.

And the feeling is mutual.

“She slipped into that world easily. It’s not like she’s trying to be the Harley Quinn of the comics; she’s Lee in this world,” Phillips said of Gage’s performance. Phoenix was also impressed with Gaga’s work ethic on set.

“I found her to be egoless and have such fierce determination. She would have joined us immediately,” he said of Gaga, whose character finds love with Phoenix’s own Arthur Fleck in the sequel. “She understood that a character has to have rawness. There aren’t many actors who are comfortable working in that way.”
