Larsa Pippen’s Dating History: From Scottie Pippen to Marcus Jordan

Larsa Pippen is currently being linked to Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan’s son. And according to Marcus, the couple’s engagement is “in the works.”

When The Real Housewives of Miami premiered in 2011, viewers got to know Larsa as the wife of NBA star Scottie Pippen and the mother of their four children. When the series returned in 2021 after an eight-year hiatus, fans checked in with a new Larsa, who was enjoying the single life and buying her own lavish home in Miami.

Larsa filed for divorce from Scottie (for the second time) in 2018, and their divorce was finalized in December 2021. In the years since their split, Larsa has been linked to several different men — many of whom are also basketball players.

However, the reality star has been open about her relationship struggles following the end of her more than 20-year marriage.

“I feel like I’m kind of in a situation mentally, like I was married to a really famous guy who was really cute, who had a good body, who was really successful, who gave me four beautiful children. So, where the hell are you going to find a guy who can, like, fill — not necessarily all of those, but like, a few of those boxes,” Larsa explained during an August 2022 appearance on Melissa Gorga’s show. She continued: “It’s kind of hard. I thought it was going to be easier, to be honest with you… When I started dating, I’m like — I’m going to have to realize that I’m not going to get everything. I’ve had a great run. I’ve had a great relationship. You know, I was married for 23 years.”

Larsa married Scottie in 1997 when she was 23 and he was 32. At the time, Scottie was at the peak of his basketball career – the same year he won his fifth NBA title with the Chicago Bulls.

During their marriage, Lars and Scottie had four children together: Scotty Jr., Preston, Justin and Sophia. Scottie also has four other children from other relationships.

Scottie and Larsa filed for divorce in 2016, but later reconciled. The following year, they were seen together in Los Angeles, and a source told PEOPLE, “They’re working on their relationship. I think they’ve always been trying to find common ground. They didn’t get along for a while, but they’ve been married for 20 years, they have four kids.”

However, a year later, Larsa filed for divorce again, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. This time, the separation was forever. In December 2021, their divorce was finalized. “All issues have been resolved amicably,” Larsa’s attorney told PEOPLE. “The parties now focus on successfully co-parenting their remaining minor children.”

“Now that I’m free, I feel like I look better than ever,” she said. “So my vibe is very Miami. It’s sexy, it’s fun, and I feel really independent. Independence was really important to me, too, but it’s not the same being in the house without Scottie.” She continued, “We built this house. Like, we built it for our kids. It’s, like, the best location. I have a private beach. But I feel like it’s a new chapter, a new day, and we have to sell it.”

Around the time Larsa first broke up with Scottie, she briefly dated rapper Future. She opened up about their romance Hollywood unlocked in February 2021.

“I was at a point in my life when I was very sad,” said Larsa. “I was thinking about, ‘Am I going to continue, am I, are my kids going to be OK?’ I felt a lot of guilt and he was the guy that was there to see me through it and he was the guy that I would talk to when I was kind of, like, dealing with things. He just gave me confidence when I was feeling down dark place.”

The reality star continued: “Did I want to spend the rest of my life with him? I don’t think so. People serve a purpose in your life. It doesn’t have to be forever. Everyone has their time and reason for being in your life… It’s never been like that seriously. It wasn’t what people think it is.”

Of the seriousness of their brief relationship, Larsa said, “People made more out of it than it was.”

Also during the first split, Larsa had a brief relationship with NBA player Tristan Thompson before his relationship with Khloé Kardashian.

“I saw Tristan before Khloé. Before Khloé or any of them knew he existed,” Larsa told Hollywood Raw podcast in November 2020 “I was seeing him, I told him to come to LA, I brought him to a party Kim [Kardashian] had. I introduced him to all of them.”

Larsa claimed that Thompson began dating Kardashian very soon after that. “Then a week later, or maybe 10 days later, he started seeing Khloé,” she explained. “What’s right, I don’t care at all. It doesn’t matter. I’m the type of person who doesn’t chase what’s not for me. I’ll never chase a man. I’ll never put a leash on a man. I don’t do it. I feel like, let you’ll be great. If you want to be with other people, go ahead. I’m great alone.”

The reality star also denied having an affair with Thompson after he started dating the Good Americana founder. “It’s hurtful that people think I’m messed up and trying to ruin Khloé’s life,” she added. “I would never do that. It’s not even my personality.”

In late 2020, Larsa began a short-lived but dramatic relationship with former Utah Jazz player Malik Beasley. In November 2020, Larsa and Beasley were photographed holding hands while shopping together. Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, said she was shocked when she saw the photos, writing on Instagram: “Wow… I don’t even know this man.” She added: “This is wild, I’m seeing it for the first time like you.”

The following month, Larsa tweeted that Beasley was separated when she started seeing him, however, Yao responded and stated that this was a lie.

During the interview with Hollywood unlockedLarsa once again defended her relationship with Beasley.

“We talked about it. It wasn’t a secret. I know a lot of people who are married and dating. I played that part. So for me, if you’re not suspicious and you tell me all your stuff, I’ll believe you,” she said of Beasley. “They had problems before. It had nothing to do with me, so I didn’t think about it. If you spent a minute Googling their situation, it wasn’t an ideal situation before me.”

Larsa and Beasley broke up four months after they started dating, her rep confirmed to PEOPLE in April 2021. A source said, “They’re friends and still communicate, but they’re not together. Distance played a role in the breakup.”

Larsa is now dating Marcus Jordan, the son of basketball legend Michael Jordan, who played with Pippen on the Bulls for years. Marcus played basketball during his time at the University of Central Florida. He now owns a sneaker and clothing store called the Trophy Room.

The two were first linked when they were spotted having lunch together in Miami in September 2022. Not long after, they were spotted together at the Rolling Loud music festival, as seen in photos obtained by Page six. However, Larsa maintained that she and Marcus were just friends when she spoke to PEOPLE in October 2022. “We are friends,” she said. “We’ve been friends for a few years and that’s really it. We’re friends.”

In December 2022, Marcus accompanied Larsa to The Real Housewives of Miami season 5 premiere party, according to photos he received Daily mail. The following month, Larsa and Marcus were seen kissing in Miami. A source confirmed to PEOPLE at the time that the couple was “dating and happy.”

Another insider said: “It’s still casual and they’re dating. She’s doing her best to keep it quiet and not make a big deal about it. They see each other at least a few times a week.”

The couple confirmed their love on Valentine’s Day 2023, posting sweet posts of each other on Instagram. Marcus shared a picture of Larsa holding two large bouquets of flowers with the caption, “Three words, 8 letters💖✨🌹Happy Valentine’s Day baby❤️‍🔥.”

For her part, Larsa posted a photo of the couple posing on a sandy beach with the caption, “My Forever Valentine ❤️.”

While speaking with PEOPLE in February 2023, Larsa revealed the moment she realized she wanted to be more than friends with Marcus.

“I think one night we went out and there was a girl there. She was trying to talk to him and I got jealous because of that,” she recalled. “And it was weird because I’m not really a jealous person, but I was jealous because of that situation.”

Larsa added, “Then I thought maybe I really like him. That kind of sealed the deal.”

During the season 5 reunion RHOMwhich aired in March 2023, Larsa revealed that she would be happy to change her last name to Jordan when she and Marcus got married.

“I would definitely change my last name to whoever I marry, that’s for sure,” she said.

In the June 2023 episode of their podcast Separation anxiety with Lars and Marcus, the couple reflected on the beginning of their relationship. Larsa admitted that she wanted to hide her relationship with Marcus, even saving his phone number under a fake name: Marc Jacobs.

“I realized this was forbidden. It’s not something I wanted to go to war for,” Larsa told her friend in the episode. “I feel like you have to pick your battles and I wasn’t sure.”

Additionally, Marcus revealed how his family reacted when they found out he and Larsa were together. “I just think the fact that we were dating had some shock value,” he said. “Maybe I caught some people on my side of the family a little off guard.”

A month later, TMZ asked Michael Jordan if he approved of Marcus’ relationship. The basketball legend laughed and simply said, “No!”

Larsa said she was “embarrassed” and “traumatized” by the comment, but Marcus assured her that his father was joking.

“I know my dad, and obviously my whole family, we’re so competitive, it’s part of our DNA to talk—, it drives us and motivates us. And when I saw that, I immediately thought, ‘He’s playing. He’s kidding. , he laughs. He’s just playful, a little fired up, maybe out of Socorro [tequila]” he said during a July 2023 episode of the couple’s podcast.

While speaking with PEOPLE in December 2023, Marcus said the couple’s engagement was “in the works.” Larsa added: “I feel like we were looking at rings. I’m excited. I feel like Marcus has great taste and I feel like I know he won’t disappoint us.”
