Lauren Sánchez Debuts Sexy Blonde Highlights with Yellow Minidress and Big Hoops: 'New Hair Who Dis?'

Lauren Sánchez lives by the motto “new year, new me”.

The helicopter pilot and author, 55, shared a post on Instagram on Dec. 31 revealing that she’s updated her signature black hairstyle with honey blonde highlights.

For the sexy photo, she showed off her new hair, which is not only lighter, but appears to be slightly longer than her previous chest-length locks, in a half-up style with a center parting. Celebrity hairstylist Pete Burkill, who has worked with Megan Fox and Katy Perry, was the pro behind the 2000s-inspired look.

Sánchez paired her highlighted locks with a butter yellow mini dress and huge gold earrings. Her glamor consisted of a flawless base, glossy pink lips and long lashes.

“New hair who? Excited for tonight. Happy New Year everyone. So excited for 2025,” she captioned the photo, which received compliments from many famous names.

Mindy Kaling wrote: “Wow wow wow,” while Sánchez’s close friend Kris Jenner commented: “Beautiful!” Perry added the praise with a simple “WHAT.”

Sánchez celebrated many milestones last year, from the publication of her first children’s book, The fly that flew into space, to watching his son Nikko Gonzalez enter his modeling era (he walked in his first fashion show for Dolce & Gabbana at Milan Men’s Fashion Week last January) and graduate college.

She also made her Met Gala debut with fiancé Jeff Bezos by her side. Last May, the two hit the carpet in coordinating black and white looks. Sánchez wore a custom strapless Oscar de la Renta gown with a skirt designed to mimic a “broken glass” look and a short bob haircut. Meanwhile, the Amazon founder, 60, wore a suit and bow tie.

Ahead of fashion’s biggest night, the engaged couple attended the Met Gala pre-party held at La Mercerie in New York, for which Sánchez dazzled in a sheer little black dress.

Sánchez and Bezos got engaged in May 2023. The couple hasn’t shared much news about their upcoming wedding. However, Bezos revealed that he dismissed rumors of an alleged $600 million Christmas wedding in Aspen, Colorado, which were reported in a recent New York Post article, which quoted a report from The Daily Mail.

As CEO of Pershing Square, Bill Ackman posted again Fast article titled, “This is not credible. Unless you’re buying each of your guests a house, you can’t spend this much money,” Bezos replied, “Furthermore, this whole thing is completely bogus — none of this is happening.”

“The old adage ‘don’t believe everything you read’ is truer today than it’s ever been. Now lies can go ENTIRELY around the world before the truth gets its pants on. So be careful people, and don’t be gullible,” Bezos added.
