Lenny Kravitz was ready for his close-up at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
The musician (59) is being awarded the music icon award tonight. In addition, he will perform a mix of songs from his legendary catalog. But before he took the stage for this momentous moment, the rocker made a fashion statement on the red carpet.
Kravitz wore a blazer suit with dramatic shoulders and one sleeve, skipping the shirt. He added a chain mail necklace and oversized sunglasses.

Kravitz is a pro at looking effortlessly cool. Attending the 2024 Critics’ Choice Awards in a custom Laquan Smith double-breasted blazer, the “Again” singer showed off his fit physique in a cutout design. He paired the suit with tinted Ray-Ban aviator sunglasses, a stack of necklaces and a chain belt.

His Critics’ Choice ensemble echoed his outfit at the Golden Globes last week, where he wore an Alexander McQueen jumpsuit that also exposed his chest and hips. He told KTLA 5 about his signature silhouette, “I don’t have many shirts. You know, I live in the Bahamas. I keep it kind of basic.”
The star added: “I just throw on a jacket and trousers. Take it easy.”

Although now known for plunging jackets and all-black outfits, Kravitz has had several iconic looks throughout his career. In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, the multi-instrumentalist dissected his fashion choices through the decades, including his “big scarf moment” in 2012.
“I was going to the market, just to get some groceries. I didn’t think I was going to see anybody. It was cold, and yeah, I have that big scarf that I made for myself,” Kravitz explained. “It became a meme and a symbol and a representation of the cold weather to come.”
