Simu Liu was great at the 2024 People’s Choice Awards.
The Shang-Chi and the legend of the 10 rings actor, who was nominated for Barbie tonight she wore a trio of fashionable combinations for the fashion show.
Liu (34) stepped onto the red carpet for the first time in a classic maroon suit paired with a pale purple button-down shirt, dark red shoes and a gold Fernando Jorge necklace.
He posed on the carpet with his girlfriend Allison Hsu, who wore a flowing pink dress, as well as his Barbie Costar America Ferrera (below), whose Barbiecore ballet dress featured a baby pink skirt adorned with a large bow.

Liu then entered the hall and began the ceremony in an icy blue suit with matching boots. He channeled his inner ken-ergy by going shirtless under his tailored jacket.
To close the show, the actor donned an indigo suit paired with a salmon shirt underneath.

This is the second time the Canadian actor has attended the star-studded show. In 2021, he took home the Action Movie Star Award for his breakthrough role as Shang-Chi in the titular Marvel film. He then wore an all black ensemble.

“You prick!” he exclaimed in his acceptance speech. “Thank you all. You are the reason I am here. Not only here tonight receiving this award, but here I am living my dream every day.” He also expressed his gratitude to everyone who voted in the category, including his parents who he joked contributed half.
Before leaving the stage, he left the audience with a hopeful message inspired by his own journey.
“I went to college for finance and accounting, and it was because I didn’t have the courage to give myself the courage to pursue what I truly wanted. Whatever that means for you, it all starts with giving yourself permission.”
