Les Dennis has spoken out after being voted off Strictly after Sunday night’s dance game, where he and partner Nancy Xu were upstaged by BBC presenter Nikita Kanda and Gorka Marquez.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the host and comedian broke his silence to share a series of posts from viewers, many of whom were sad to see him go.

The first to share suggested the refs made the “wrong decision” and said: “Sad to lose him so early, deserved longer,” to which Les added: “Thank you… Congratulations Nikita.”
He also posted two red heart emojis in response to a fan who said: “Ah… well done mate, you did your best.” Nancy, on the other hand, shared a series of videos of their performance on Instagram, along with nice words from fans.

The weekend marked the second live show in the series, and the first time a celebrity was kicked out. Les and Nancy were bottom of the charts after two performances, and as Nancy paid tribute to her dance partner on Sunday night, she mentioned the pair were facing “a lot of challenges”.
The dancer said: “It’s been a journey. It’s been such a short but sweet journey. There’s been a lot of challenges we all know, but to see you (Lesu) progress every day. I have so much respect for you.

The judges’ scores from this week and last week were added to the viewer’s votes to decide the two lowest-scoring couples. Both performed their performances again: Nikita and Gorka danced the Charleston to Beyoncé’s Single ladies (put ring on) and Les and Nancy Xu perform Samba for Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation.

After both couples danced a second time, the judges made their verdicts, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke deciding to save Nikita and Gorka, with head judge Shirley Ballas agreeing.

Viewers strictly predicted the result, commenting on social networks with their predictions. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, after Saturday’s live show, many suggested that Les and Nancy could be the first to be eliminated.
