Liam Neeson Fights for Redemption After a Life of Crime in Absolution Trailer (Exclusive)

Liam Neeson’s next action-packed role is an experienced gangster trying to redeem himself.

PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for Forgivenesstouching crime drama set in Boston in which Neeson’s character tries to right the wrongs of his past after serving time in prison.

“An aging gangster (Neeson) tries to reconnect with his children and right the wrongs of his past, but the criminal underworld won’t give in willingly,” reads the synopsis.

The trailer opens with Neeson’s character going to the doctor and admitting he has headaches.

After a doctor expresses concern that his head troubles may be the result of repeated concussions, Neeson’s character visits his estranged daughter and meets his grandson for the first time, before taking a new job from a crime boss (Ron Perlman).

Neeson, 72, is acting Forgiveness in his first film release in 2024. He appeared in three films in 2023, including In the land of saints and sinners, Wildcast and a thriller Retaliation.
