LIAM Payne’s ex-girlfriend Danielle Peazer has broken her silence following the singer’s untimely death.
The star of One Direction (31) tragically fell to his death from the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires on Wednesday.

And now his ex-partner Danielle has revealed she is not “mentally strong enough to face the reality of what happened”.
After being in a relationship from 2010 to 2012, she posted a tribute to Liam on Instagram on Saturday.
The model wrote: “I will share more in time, but right now I don’t feel mentally strong enough to face the reality of what happened,” explaining that it took her the last few days to come to terms with the news of the star’s death.
Danielle described it as a “heartbreaking time”, adding that the negative remarks from nasty trolls have made the past few days even more challenging.

She wrote: “Like all of us, I am grieving and need to take some time to do so privately.
“It’s a heartbreaking time, already made that much more challenging by receiving negative and misinformed comments as well as preconceived judgments from those who don’t personally know me, Liam, or anything about our relationship over the last 14 years.
“I’ll be back soon when I’m ready, but until then, please take care of each other.”
Danielle acknowledged the negative abuse she experienced, but also expressed gratitude for the words of encouragement she received in the messages.
The model said: “Thank you to everyone who took the time to call, text or DM to offer their condolences and support.
“I’m so grateful and it’s helped more than you think.”
Since they first met in 2010 on The X Factor, Danielle, who is currently in a relationship and has a daughter Mia with Sonny Jay, has dated Liam on and off.

They are believed to have briefly reconciled in 2022 after splitting in 2012.
In an interview in October 2012, Liam admitted that his break-up with Danielle had left him “devastated”.
Danielle’s statement comes shortly after Liam’s sister posted a heartbreaking tribute to her “best friend” following his tragic death.
The One Direction singer’s brother, Ruth Gibbins, posted a lengthy testimonial on his Instagram page, including a message directly addressing the Little Things singer in which she said: “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you.”
Ruth, 33, recalled their happy memories together in the message, before posting a bittersweet series of pictures showing their strong bond.
In her emotional message – which came after Liam, 31, died in Argentina – she also addressed her father’s seven-year-old son Bear, who he shares with pop star Cheryl, and insisted “we will take care of him”.
Ruth wrote: “I can’t believe this is happening. I have poured my heart out in public many times with pride for Liam but never too much for life like his sister.
“Liam is my best friend, no one could make me laugh as much as him, when I did his impressions I always got goosebumps and he loved seeing how much he could laugh.
“He moved away when he was 17 to follow his dreams, it made me finally pass my driving test during the weeks of the live shows because I couldn’t bear the thought of not being able to get to him.

“I’d regularly drive out for tea with him after I’d finished work, just to sit. One month the hotel was right next to Wagamamas and I swear he had it morning, noon and night!”
In a very personal, touching moment, Ruth shared a list of “notes on my phone with things to say to Liam” with her followers.
Afterwards, she wrote a heart-wrenching tribute to her youngest sibling.
Meanwhile, Liam’s grieving father is reportedly trying to get his son’s body back home to the UK as soon as possible to lay him to rest.
The singer’s loved ones desperately rushed to South America late Wednesday night just hours after learning the heartbreaking news.
Footage taken outside the Casa Sur Hotel on Friday shows a somber Geoff Payne bending down to read messages written to his son.
The distraught, misty-eyed dad waved to Liam’s fans as he watched the touching display.
Dressed in a dark suit with his hands clasped in front of him, Geoff was shielded from dozens of fans and reporters by police and security.

“When I was missing home as a 17-year-old, you would always be there with a positive outlook and an encouraging smile, letting me know that you were my friend and that I was loved.”
He added: “When it comes to music, Liam, you were the most qualified in every way.
“I didn’t know anything in comparison, I was a beginner kid with no experience, and you were already a professional.
“I lost my brother when you left us and I can’t explain what I would give to hug you one last time and say goodbye properly.
“All the memories I have with you I will keep forever in my heart.”
And Harry Styles wrote: “I am truly devastated by Liam’s death.
“His greatest joy was making other people happy and it was an honor to be with him while he was doing that.
“Liam lived wide open, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an energy for life that was contagious.
“He was warm, supportive and incredibly loving.
“The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will always miss you my dear friend.
“My heart breaks for Karen, Geoff, Nicole and Ruth, his son Bear and all those around the world who knew and loved him, as I do.”
