She wrote: “Our beautiful @thelindanolan left us yesterday, so much to say I’m not sure where to start, countless memories, countless laughs and constant support when you really needed her, I’m heartbroken like all of us, just so sad [heartbroken emojis].

“I just want to say, to all the people out there who felt inspired by Linda, she didn’t get the big C she didn’t really get her.

“She got double pneumonia over Christmas and New Year and for her immune system that was one battle too many.

“So please stay hopeful and strong if you are suffering, she has endured almost 20 years with one form of cancer and so can you.”

The singer and TV personality passed away on Wednesday with her famous sisters by her side – and her final hours were reportedly filled with “love and comfort”.

Tributes have poured in for the star, including from her sister and Loose Women regular Coleen Nolan.

In a post on X, she said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the beloved Linda Nolan.

“She faced terminal cancer with courage, grace and determination, inspiring millions. Surrounded by her family, she passed away peacefully.

“She was a beacon of hope and resilience, sharing her journey to raise awareness and inspire others.

“Rest in peace, Linda. You will be greatly missed, but you will never be forgotten.”

Coleen’s ITV co-stars took the moment to pay a touching tribute to the popular singer during Wednesday’s episode of Loose Women.

Panelist Christine Lampard said: “Very sad news for you Linda Nolan – Coleen’s sister was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer in 2017, she died aged 65.”

Christine then read the statement.

She went on to say: “We’ve had a long conversation with Coleen about Linda and I know it’s been an incredibly difficult time for the family, but you were just never ready.”

Linda made a heartbreaking admission that she was “terrified of death” just three weeks before she died.

In an interview before Christmas, Linda said: “What scares me the most? Dying.

– I am sad that this will happen.

Comedian Tommy Cannon also paid tribute, sharing a photo of a gig poster featuring his double act Cannon and Ball, with Bobby Ball, alongside The Nolans.

The 86-year-old wrote in a post on Instagram: “I was heartbroken to hear of Linda Nolan’s death.

“I had the pleasure of working with her on so many occasions, and she was always a joy – full of warmth and love.

“My thoughts and love are with the Nolan girls and the entire family.”

He also paid tribute to radio and TV presenter Terry Christian, who said in a post on X: “RIP Linda Nolan. I met most of the Nolan sisters back in the day – they were all fantastic women.”

Amidst her worries about what’s to come, Linda admitted to OK Magazine that she needs to just “let it happen” and “spend time with the people you love.”

THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER

Last month, Linda also revealed that a serious fall left her with injuries while undergoing chemotherapy.

Linda, who had been battling this bout of cancer since 2017, collapsed in October sustaining injuries including knocking out some teeth.

The star also revealed how she was worried her 60th birthday might be her last, but five years on she’s “still here”.

In 2005, she was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, and the following year, everything was cured.

But in March 2017, she was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer, which was identified after it had spread to her hip, following a fall.

Heartbreakingly, the 65-year-old revealed last year that the cancer had spread to her brain.

Leaked video from Loose Women 2017 revealed the star’s biggest regret before her death.

She said in the video: “I think when you’re facing a future with cancer you look back on your life and think if I made the right decisions, if I did as much as I could.

“I don’t think the fact that I don’t have children is anyone’s fault but mine.

“I just let my career get in the way.

“When I thought about it, it was really a bit too late and that’s really my only regret in life.”

Linda was married to her husband Brian for 26 years before he died of cancer in 2007, and it took her almost a decade to feel ready to look for love again.

In the emotional video, Linda continued: “I had the love in my life that…some people never have in their life.

“Brian and I were married for 26 years and I was diagnosed with complex grief because we were together for 26 years, 24 hours a day and that’s why I missed him so much.”
