Pinky’s by Vanderpump is open!
On Thursday, December 5, Lisa Vanderpump’s newest restaurant, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, held a special grand opening event at the Flamingo Las Vegas, which calls the restaurant home.
PEOPLE was in attendance at the exclusive event, which featured Vegas girls dressed in elaborate costumes and feather headdresses, and live cabaret singers, which perfectly suited Pinky’s theme.

Speaking with PEOPLE at a private media breakfast on Friday, Dec. 6, Vanderpump, 64, opened up about her inspiration for her latest Caesars Entertainment restaurant.
“Well, it’s got shades of pink, and I think that bar is definitely going to become one of the most famous bars in Vegas,” she said of the restaurant, which isn’t as “pink” as some might have first thought.
The Vanderpump Rules star noted the intricate designs, noting the pink hues “slowly swirl in crystals and chains.”
“And we spent a lot of time matching the colors of all the vessels. Yes, it’s different. We have a lot of lush and those tones, but it was more about that art deco period,” she told PEOPLE. “This is the oldest or the first hotel on the railway. So it was basically creating something that looked like you pulled back the curtain and this has been here forever. That’s why when you look at the floor, you almost believe it’s the original.”

Journalists also sampled the menu and delicious cocktails like the “Less Depresso, More Espresso” in the “It’s Martini Time” section and “Daddy Issues,” Pinky’s twist on the classic French 75, in the “Spritz, Bitch” section.
Vanderpump worked with her business partner Nick Alain for Pinky’s. The designer was present at the opening ceremony and joined the interview.

“What we really wanted to create was something where we felt like you pulled back the curtain and this was here and this was there and this was this grand, fantastic place that was from that era,” the reality star added and mogul.
Before discussing their relationship with Caesars Entertainment, she proudly told PEOPLE, “Everything is couture.”

“And so, you’ll see this theme going from the napkin all the way to the front door. So everything works together. Nick and I have very, very strong ideas. And the wonderful thing I think is that the Caesars don’t interfere with us in any way. I love it We say that’s what we’d like to do. We present it and they just say, ‘Okay, when is it going to be ready?'”
Vanderpump also worked with her daughter Pandora Todd, who is expecting child no. 2, for Pinky’s. Todd, 38, created the visuals for the menu before Vanderpump approved it, Vanderpump said.

“We have so enjoyed our relationship with Caesars Entertainment,” Vanderpump previously said in a press release.
“Through our design firm, Vanderpump Alain, we embrace the unique history of Flamingo Las Vegas, and the design will be reminiscent of times past. Caesars allowed us the creativity to really dive into the Art Deco style and create something that captured the stunning design of the time.”
