Lori Harvey Will Make Her Rookie Debut in SI Swimsuit Wearing Her Own Swimwear Collection: ‘Dream Come True’

Not only is Lori Harvey debuting as a rookie in this year’s championship Sports Illustrated Swimsuit problem, but she does it in swimsuits she designed herself.

The SKN by LH founder will appear in the pages of the annual magazine this May wearing Yevrah Swim, her brand she launched with Revolve.

“It was definitely a dream come true,” Harvey said SI To swim of the entire experience. “I would say the three words I would use to describe it are manifest, surreal and perfection because that was literally the moment I manifested. It was a very surreal moment for me and the whole shoot was just perfection from top to bottom… [and] when I came on set, it was just magical.”

“Lori Harvey embodies the essence of empowerment with her unflinching authenticity,” SI To swim editor-in-chief MJ Day said of Harvey.

Photographed by Yu Tsai in Cancun, Harvey, 27, wore a suit from her own label, alongside suits from Dolce & Gabbana, GCDS and more for her new shoot. The first look they shot was the Yevrah Swim, which she said “set the tone for the day” and made everything even more magical as she continued with the day and this big career milestone.

She also told the magazine that not only did she want to carry her own swimwear line because she loves and is proud of what she has created, but part of her brand’s ethos is to promote inclusivity and she wanted to show that by partnering with SI To swimwhich also advocates inclusivity and body positivity.

Harvey launched Yevrah Swim last August, but when she announced it on Instagram, she immediately caught fire from one commenter who noted that her brother, Jason Harvey, has a footwear brand called Yevrah, which he launched in 2016.

She did not agree with the criticism.

“Doesn’t your brother own a shoe company called Yevrah??” read the comment. “Couldn’t remember the original name?” to which she replied: “It was before, not anymore. I asked if I could revive and change my name and he gave me his blessing.”
