If Love is blindThe season 5 finale brought closure to another set of hopeful couples, the upcoming reunion will be focused on reopening old wounds.

Love Is Blind: The Reunion, premiering Sunday on Netflix, will reunite the cast for the first time since the final wedding episode to find out who’s still together, who’s given love a second chance and unpack the drama this season.

The trailer for the reunion special promises no shortage of theatrics as the Season 5 cast comes face-to-face.

“We have many, many questions,” begins co-host Nick Lachey, as Milton Johnson loosens his tie and quips, “Oh man, it’s hot in here.”

In the final moments of the trailer, Chris admits, “It doesn’t always end in fairy tales.”

5th season Love is blind — which recruited singles in their 20s and 30s from Houston — debuted on Sept. 22. Episodes dropped each week until Friday’s 10th and final episode, in which the remaining couples went down the aisle to decide whether to say “I do” or call it quits on their relationships.

While Milton and Lydia eventually said “I do”, Stacy realized she wasn’t on the same page as Izzy and the two parted ways.

The reunion date was first announced on Tuesday, with Netflix confirming it won’t be live after the massively delayed Season 4 reunion in April.

Love is blind creator Chris Coelen later said The Hollywood Reporter that the show won’t try to do a live reunion any time soon. “It was Netflix’s idea to do a live reunion,” he told the news outlet. “They came to us and we all had some doubts about it.”

The producer also said that he experienced the inaugural event as most fans do: sitting in his living room watching the chaos unfold.

“Normally I would be in the control room in that situation. I would listen to the host. And I didn’t – he said. “I was freaking out. I was sitting in front of the TV and I was like, ‘What’s going on? Give me the news. What’s going on?'”

Despite the stress, Coelen found an advantage in that situation. “Ultimately, the great thing that came out of that evening was that it showed how much significant interest there is Love is blind. I really appreciated that,” he said.
