Love is blindChelsea Blackwell weighs in on fan reaction to her claim of being compared to Megan Fox.
Viewers have been buzzing all weekend about Blackwell’s resemblance (or lack thereof) to Fox, 37, after the event organizer and flight attendant, 31, told Jimmy Presnell that she was often told she looked like Jennifer’s body star.
That conversation — in which Blackwell also admitted she didn’t actually see the comparison herself and told Presnell not to “get excited” — took place through an opaque wall in the pods before the pair got engaged and could see each other in However, right after their first meeting, Presnell said in a confessional interview that while he was still attracted to his fiancée, she “lied” to him about her looks. With Presnell trying to pay far more compliments about Blackwell than he did about her, her growing insecurities are sure to cause problems as their engagement unfolds over the next few weeks.

Now that the first six episodes of the series have aired, Blackwell decided to address the Fox hubbub on TikTok and Instagram on Sunday.
Posting a video of herself holding a drink and dancing to Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” she added the caption: “Go to a show for love > get dragged through the trenches.”

Blackwell expanded on the thought on her Instagram Story, reposting a note of confirmation first shared by friend Presley Carter: “Thank you to everyone who is from our hometown and knows Chels for all of your love and support through this! It was so exciting to watch her and see everything!”
Carter continued: “It’s also really hard because people here on the internet are so mean and take reality TV too seriously. As if it’s a show, we need to cool it down 😉”
She went on to explain “what people who criticize the cast [need] understand,” writing, “These are real people with feelings and emotions. With families and friends reading the comments. We are ALL imperfect, we are all doing our best. Please respect the cast through this.”
Carter’s note also mentions that editors are behind it Love is blind who “want to get some drama and tell a story” before ending with a reminder not to judge.

Before Presnell and Blackwell agreed to marry, she also formed a relationship with Trevor Sova, while he was considering his next move with Jessica Vestal. Ultimately, Presnell admitted that he wasn’t “100 percent” sure about proposing to Vestal, who is the first single mom on the show, and went into the pod with Blackwell right after that breakup. And since Presnell’s meeting with Blackwell was scheduled before Sova’s, their fates were seemingly sealed.
Now, the Season 6 couples are on the verge of returning home to Charlotte, North Carolina, amid tension over Presnell’s comment in Mexico about Amber Desiree “AD” Smith’s “stacked” body. And as the teaser for the next batch of episodes showed, both Blackwell and Presnell will be reconnecting with their former lovers, which is sure to make for a bumpy road to the altar.
