The actress told The Hollywood Reporter in July 2022, that money was always tight, so moving from Spokane to LA was a financial strain. Sydney said the family lived in a hotel for a while, where she and mom shared a bed and dad and Trent shared a couch.

Trent had a few minor acting gigs when he was a kid, but eventually decided to pursue a different career.
In April 2020, Sydney posted a carousel of throwback photos as a tribute to Trent, who was away on military training at the time. Both she and Trent faced criticism after posting photos from the event on Instagram, where several attendees were seen wearing red hats that looked similar to former President Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”
