Terrence Howard is the latest star to fully commit to simple dressing.
Adding to the growing list of celebrities getting deep into their roles by dressing to match their projects is the 55-year-old actor, who attended the premiere of his new series Peacock in New York Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist in a 70s look inspired by his character, Cadillac Richie.
Howard hit the carpet in a retro gray suit, a collared shirt with the top buttons undone, and brown suede boots.
The star of the outfit, however, was his hair.

Howard’s hairstyle, which was really just an auburn-dyed wig blown out to epic Farah Fawcett proportions, stole the spotlight because it really brought Howard’s on-screen persona to life. Full of bounce and volume, it also completely transformed the Oscar nominee, who usually sports a trim cut.
At the Sept. 4 premiere, PEOPLE got an up-close look at the impressive hair, which can be seen in detail — curtain bangs and all — in a video shared on Instagram.
Naturally, the internet had some thoughts about Howard’s makeover. “What the hell Farrah Fawcett is going on here???” one user commented while another added: “What is Terrance wearing on his head?” wrote another.

Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard have Empire Reunion in Fight night Premiere
While Howard’s haircut was definitely the subject of the story, so was his Empire reuniting with Taraji P. Henson, who also stars Fight night as Vivian Thomas. The two posed together on the red carpet as they entered their new era four years after the Fox series ended in 2020.
Henson also got into character with her own disco glam look, which consisted of a daring minidress with an ultra-low neckline and striking shoulder pads.
Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist premieres September 5 on the Peacock.
