LOVE Island couple Joey Essex and Jessy Potts split just seven weeks after leaving the villa.
The Love Island stars confirmed the news exclusively to The Sun, with Towie legend Joey, 34, insisting he hopes to remain friends with Jessy, 25.

Joey told us: “Unfortunately we’ve decided to end our relationship, but I hope we’ll continue to be friends.
“I really wish Jessy all the best in whatever she does in the future.”
And Jessy added: “I appreciate the Love Island experience I had with Joey, we tried to make it work but it didn’t work out.
“I am so grateful to everyone who has supported us and look forward to all the exciting opportunities ahead.”
Joey and Jessy have been battling divorce rumors since leaving the mansion, with their busy schedules meaning they haven’t been able to spend time together.
Today The Sun revealed that Joey is considering a career change and will soon enter a training camp to become a boxer.
The source added: “Joey has always been super busy and things got even busier after the mansion.
“Now he’s also going to a boxing camp so things have become difficult.
“Jesy also had her stuff and was here, there and everywhere after the show. It was too hard to keep up with each other.”
Joey is in talks to face either Tommy Fury, KSI or Jake Paul in a big fight in 2025.

The insider explained: “Joey has always been fit, but in recent years he’s become more and more passionate about boxing.
“Joey is excited about this new venture and looks forward to one day facing the titans of rope.”

Sam Faiers – Joey has been dating Towie co-star Sam Faiers since 2011.
The pair were one of the original Essex duos and were together for three years before calling it quits for good in September 2014.
Amy Willerton – Joey was rumored to be dating his I’m A Celeb co-star Amy Willerton in 2013 when they both appeared on the show together.
Stephanie Pratt – Made In Chelsea star and US-born socialite Stephanie Pratt dated Joey for three months.
They fell for each other while appearing on Celebs Go Dating and kissed Joey in the pool.
But he dumped her in October 2016 because she made him “spend too much time at Chelsea”.
Lorena Medina – Joey met model Lorena Medina on the MTV reality show Ex On The Beach in 2019.
Their relationship seemed to be going well after Joey showed her around his hometown of Chigwell in Essex. However, the couple split in February 2020.
Lorena moved into his home in Chigwell, Essex, in September 2019, but they had a heated argument after he was filmed entering singer Rita Ora’s home in the early hours of the morning.
Rita Ora – Joey’s ex Lorena revealed to The Sun that she dumped Joey after he had a wild night with Rita Ora in early 2020.
He was locked up for 13 hours at Rita’s villa after the couple tried to avoid being seen together by driving separate cars between venues.
However, the couple denied that there was anything romantic between them.
Joey said: “We’ve known each other for years. She’s a nice girl, but we’re just friends.”
Vanessa Bauer – Joey was rumored to have had a brief romance with Dancing on Ice professional skater Vanessa Bauer during his appearance on the hit ITV show in 2023.
Rumors of the pair’s relationship had been swirling for months before the series aired, with Vanessa exclusively denying the rumors to The Sun in November 2022.
The pair were runners-up during the final in March – and while they appeared to be close on the show, it seemed to fall apart shortly afterwards.
By May 2023, Joey confirmed he was single and said he didn’t see a future for them after the finale.
