In the trailer for the series’ second season, faces new and old document their journeys in search of love and the challenges that come with navigating the dating scene as people living with autism.
A new crop of dating hopefuls joins the cast of famous faces in Netflix’s second season Love on the spectrum.
In PEOPLE’s exclusive debut of the show’s Season 2 trailer, individuals on the autism spectrum will document their journey as they learn to “navigate the world of dating and relationships.”
As well as bringing back fan favourites, the US-based docu-series will also follow the lives of new contenders as they search for “something we all hope to find, love”.
When show producer and creator Cian O’Cleary asks, “What do you think love is?” the new face replies: “Love is a dagger, a beautiful thing. A thing that fascinates, but also hurts.”

The trailer then shows the return of James B. Jones and Abbey Lutes, who are both ready to “get started.”
“I have so much love to give,” explains the young woman when asked why she’s looking for love, while Dani Bowman adds, “When there’s love, there’s a match.” [It] I feel like the slipper fits.”
“I’d really like to have someone special to share the best moments of my life with,” James replies wistfully.

The scene then cuts to shots of the hopefuls smoking dandelions in the fields and preparing for the big date.
“Finding love can be difficult for anyone,” the narrator begins as one woman excitedly says “it’s finally my turn” to find romance.
As one man waits patiently for a date with a bouquet of flowers and another couple awkwardly reaches a lull in conversation, the voice continues: “And for some people, it can seem like an impossible dream.”

“My heart still goes out to him,” Dani cries as Abbey appears to blow a kiss to her boyfriend David Issacman, whom she met on the first season of the Emmy-winning show.
James, on the other hand, finds himself literally searching for other fish in the sea as he hangs out with a friend who encourages him to “just look for that fish in your pond.”
While Dani might have a few relationship issues, she was seen hustling on a “magnificent, beautiful” date and celebrating with her dog when she found out she was going on a second date.
