Born on April 25, 2006 to Rebecca and Jacob Tendler, Lucas brought joy and laughter to those around him from an early age. He possessed extraordinary qualities of kindness, wisdom and extraordinary ability to bring positivity into people’s lives.
Lucas had a deep love of animals and nature, feeling grateful to live in the beautiful Adirondacks. Whether it was skiing with his brother Noah, exploring nature with his mother and their beloved dog Johnny, taking care of the animals on the small farm with his father, or spending time with his friends, whom he fondly called “the boys,” Lucas cherished every moment.
Lucas was a motivated and driven individual who demonstrated his drive by graduating high school a year early, with plans to enter college next fall. He wanted to pursue a career in mechanical engineering. Lucas actively balanced his studies with two part-time jobs, where he became an integral part of the working families at Hotel Saranac and Ampersand Bay Resort. In addition, he is survived by his grandparents Steve (Beth) Arnold of Mexico, NY, aunt Stephanie (Andy) Canfield of Oswego, NY, aunt Gretchen Arnold of Liverpool, NY, and uncle Rick (Sharon) Burch of the Philippines. Lucas was predeceased by his paternal grandfather David Rowell of Rainbow Lake, paternal grandfather Aaron Tendler of Guildford, VT, and maternal grandmother Tracey Golas of Lake Clear.
