Luciana Damon Channels ‘90s J.Lo in Cropped Tank and Sheer Mesh Shirt for 2024 Met Gala Afterparty

Matt Damon and his wife Luciana Damon enjoyed a glamorous evening at the 2024 Met Gala, but their looks didn’t stop at the red carpet.

The couple, who have three children, appeared at the “Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Reawakening” themed event on May 6 in a coordinated style. In a nod to the “Garden of Time” dress code, Luciana, 47, wore a floor-length white strapless dress with ruffle detailing around the bust. She accessorized with a matching clutch and silver jewels along with Jennifer Behr pins. Matt opted for a classic black Dior Men tuxedo with a white button-up and black bow tie, and accessorized with a Piaget watch. As he was leaving the Mark Hotel, he joked exclusively to PEOPLE that it took him “five minutes” to get ready.

“We were in the room all day,” he added. – That’s production.

Damon, 53, also said he can’t wait to mingle with friends at the event.

“I have a lot of friends there, so I’m going to catch up with a lot of people,” he told PEOPLE.

After the gala dinner at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the couple returned to the Carlyle Hotel to change clothes for the after party.

According to tradition, for late-night revelry, they decided on something more casual and fun. Damon wore the same tuxedo but swapped his white shirt and black bow tie for a black T-shirt for a relaxed vibe. Luciana, on the other hand, looked straight out of the ’90s in a cropped white tank top and black mesh skirt.

She carried a white clutch bag and accessorized with white trainers, a chain necklace and bracelets. The casual yet glamorous look was reminiscent of 90s and early 2000s pop stars like Jennifer Lopez (the singer’s iconic white-on-white outfit at the 2000 MTV VMAs comes to mind).

The Damons last attended the 2017 Met Gala when the theme was “Rei Kawakubo/Comme des Garcons: The Art of Between.” They kept the look simple and timeless in Versace, which also marked the couple’s Met Gala debut.

“We’ve never done this before,” Matt told Yahoo Style on the carpet in 2017. “She’s wearing Versace. It took me about five minutes. And she was pretty quick.”

“We walked through the exhibition, there was a cocktail hour, dinner and a show. It was a lovely evening,” he recalled.
