Lucky Sharma is an Indian kabaddi player and army personnel. He shot to fame in 2022 when he became the first player from Jammu and Kashmir to sign a Professional Kabaddi League contract with Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Lucky Sharma was born on Saturday, August 10, 1996, in Pouni Chak village, Jammu and Kashmir (27 years old; as of 2023). Lucky started playing kabaddi in sixth grade. Lucky improved his skills with the help of his childhood kabaddi coaches Ajay Sharma and Sanjay Sharma. Lucky plays golf on the grounds of a local country club called the Baba Jitto Club. Like every kid in the village, he too aspired to be a cricketer but due to lack of financial support, he started playing kabaddi.

Army Kabaddi
At the age of 18, the lucky Sharma joined the Indian Army. The first year was mostly training, and according to Lucky, he stopped playing kabaddi altogether. Two years later, he played kabaddi in an inter-services tournament. Due to his outstanding performance in the inter-service championship, he was selected for the national-level service team. In 2023, he won the gold medal with the Indian Army team at the 37th National Games in Goa.
Professional Kabaddi League
In 2022, Lucky Sharma was included in the Pro Kabaddi League auction along with many other players from Jammu and Kashmir. He was picked for Rs. Jaipur Pink Panthers’ $1 million is owned by Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan. Lucky Sharma is a right cornerback. In his 9th season, he played a total of 15 games. His tackle percentage remained at 61% and he scored a total of 11 points.
Lucky Sharma has won many titles including Game Changers and Match Moments in Pro Kabaddi League Season 9. In 2023, Lucky was retained by Jaipur Pink Panthers to play in the Pro Kabaddi League for a fee of Rs. 1.3 million.

- Lucky Sharma revealed in an interview that he did not inform his family about the Pro Kabaddi League auditions as he was not sure about it, saying:
I was at home with a few friends, but I didn’t tell my family about the auction. You always have doubts, koi Lega ya nahin Lega (whether anyone will choose you). When my name came up I couldn’t even watch because I started praying. When it was confirmed that I wanted to play for Jaipur, I ran to my parents and told everyone that I had been bought by the PKL team. ”
He also talked about how it was like living two dreams at the same time as he got the opportunity to meet Abhishek Bachchan and said:
I was ecstatic when Jaipur Pink Panthers bought me. Abhishek Bachchan pays homage to superstar Milna Kaafi. Abhi kal hi mulaqaat hua hai ji. (Abhishek Bachchan is a superstar and meeting him was a big thing for me. I met him only yesterday).”
