- Ranjan used to assist director Sunil Darshan before starting his career as a director. He has worked with him in movies just Jeevan Saathi, Dosti and Barsaat. In an interview, he talked about it and said:
I was going to NASIK with my friend Ankur Garg (who is now the associate of Luv Films) when I got a call from the producer of the film who wanted to meet me. We jumped out of the moving train at Mulund and took a taxi to Bandra. Sunilji left by then. But the next day, he interviewed me and hired me. “
- After assisting directors for a while, he went to the New York Film Academy to study writing in 2015.
- In 2018, Rajan’s friend Ankur Garg gifted a Mercedes-Benz car to Ranjan for his film Solo. Sonu ke Titu Ki Sweety became a super phenomenon.
