Machine Gun Kelly seems to be feeling misunderstood after facing backlash over a guitar he recently designed.

On Thursday, the 33-year-old “Bloody Valentine” musician appeared to applaud people who criticized the razor-blade guitar he designed with Schecter Guitars — aptly named the “Razor Blade” — that went on sale earlier this week.

“I will never explain my art, because real art is conversational and always up for interpretation, but I will say that most of you keep misinterpreting it. and then blame me for your version of what you think my art is,” MGK wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter).

He added: “I’m ultimately saddened by how people perceive me in general. peace.”

Video taken by fans recently featured a pop-punk artist (whose real name is Colson Baker) who unveiled his Razor Blade guitar and told the audience it was “kind of an ode Tickets for My Downfallverse on the ‘title track’ and also an ode to my 20s and all the crazy times I had.”

In the song, which is on MGK’s debut studio album, he sings, “I’m using a razor to take the edge off, ‘Jump off the edge,’ they said.”
