Government of Maharashtra is reinstating annual exams for 5th and 8th grade

Maharashtra Annual Exams: Government of Maharashtra has decided to hold annual exams at the end of the school year for 5th and 8th grade students. In case any student fails the exam, they will be additional instructions and retake the test. plan for two months. However, if a student fails to pass the make-up exam, the student will be withheld from the class.

In addition, no student will be expelled from school until the completion of primary education, as the Maharashtra government insists. The Right to Education (RTE) Amendment Act of 2019 gave states the power to reschedule exams and retain students if they were unable to pass the exam.

Notice issued by the State Department of School Education

The state Department of School Education has issued this notice, in light of the fact that the Center for the Amendment to the Right to Education (RTE) Act does not have a prohibition on students leaving until Grade 8. According to the 2009 RTE, the Schools may not suspend any students from class. 8th grade under a non-custodial policy. An amendment passed to the RTE in 2019 empowered states to reorganize exams and jail students if they fail.

The notice clearly states that the annual exam will be held at the end of the 5th and 8th grade years. If the child fails to pass, additional instructions will be organized and retesting will be held.

The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra has extended the last date for the Post SSC Polytechnic Diploma Course.
