Man, 61, found dead inside home as woman, 69, arrested over his ‘murder’ after cops rush to ‘domestic incident’

A MAN was found dead in a home after police rushed to a “domestic incident” – with a woman arrested on suspicion of murder.

The victim, 61, was pronounced dead at the scene in East Grinstead, West Sussex, at around 7.45pm on Thursday.

Police rushed to the property after receiving a report of a “domestic incident”.

The man received emergency medical help, but he died soon after.

A 69-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody.

The man’s next of kin were informed with the support of specialist officers.

Detective Chief Inspector Jon Gillings, from Sussex Police, said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and our thoughts are with the loved ones of the victims as we try to establish the exact circumstances of what happened.

“I would like to reassure the public that this is being treated as an isolated incident involving two people who know each other.

“There will be an increased police presence in the area as our investigations continue and we would urge anyone with any information to come forward.”

You can report it online or call 101, quoting Operation Bilbrook.
