ENGLAND ace Kyle Walker today admits he made “idiotic choices and idiotic decisions” regarding his secret child and bitterly regrets betraying wife Annie’s soul mate.
The Man City defender, 33, opens up about the pain of losing his family in a stunningly candid interview – and accepts he is the only one to blame.

He now lives alone in a £3 million rental property and accepts his marriage is almost over, having fathered a second child with model Lauryn Goodman.
He also apologized to Annie, the mother of his three children, who is now expecting a fourth.
Kyle told The Sun: “What I did was appalling and I take full responsibility.
“I made idiotic choices and idiotic decisions. I can’t imagine or imagine what Annie is going through. I tried to ask her, but there is pain and pain.
“The man who was meant to love her, care for her and be there for her, did this.
“There were days in this ordeal when I just wanted to curl up in a ball and fall asleep.
“The only person to blame is me. I have roles and responsibilities that I am aware of and I have made stupid choices. But I have to admit my mistakes – I owe it to everyone.
“My actions caused a lot of pain to a lot of people. I’m sorry because, as a family, this was not meant to happen.”
Sheffield-born Kyle, who has 81 caps for England and won the treble with Man City last season, said he was speaking out for his family.
He explained: “I’m a private man, but I accept that I’m a public figure and I have to deal with what I’ve done.
“It didn’t help that it was talked about in the media either. But I have decided to speak now in the hope that I can at least explain myself and allow my wife and children the privacy they so desperately need and deserve.”
Kyle, who captained his country for the first time in November’s 1-1 draw with North Macedonia, continued: “When I met Annie at the age of 17, I never imagined my private life would be like this. I never thought I would be a father of six children.

“I have achieved more in football than I ever thought I would achieve. But to personally hurt what I truly believe is my best friend, that’s what really hurts.
“How could I hurt someone I love so much? It’s something I have to find within myself.
“I have to find out why I did it and why the situations happened. I’m human and I’ve made mistakes on and off the field.
“The ones off the field are definitely more harmful and hurt me more.
“Soccer has been my life since I was six years old, but my family comes before everything else on this planet. They are in a lot of pain right now.”
His voice broke when he revealed: “My little son goes to sleep with me every night and I don’t have him… . . I’m used to being away for long periods with England.
“We’re saying goodnight on FaceTime. But knowing that I’m not with him because of my mistake — mistake is probably the wrong word, my choices — that’s what hurts.”
Kyle said he’s known Lauryn since his early 20s. Despite her claims, he claimed there was never a relationship.
But in April 2020, she gave birth to a son, and later publicly called Kyle her dad.
He remembers calling Annie from City’s training ground to warn her before the news broke, saying: “I have to tell you something. I had a one-night stand with someone.”

He named Lauryn, then interrupted his wife’s screams to add, “I have something else to tell you.”
Annie yelled, “Kyle, no, I’m begging you, it can’t be anything else.” Afterwards she said: “I didn’t mean ‘honey’.
“It was like a nightmare. Before I had time to think, he said, ‘She says she’s pregnant and he’s mine.'”
Kyle moved out of the family home and into an £8,000-a-month rented flat in nearby Hale, Cheshire.
Annie later agreed to take him back for the sake of their children, admitting, “How can I hate a man my children love so much?”
Kyle has promised to have no contact with Lauryn – other than ongoing financial arrangements.
But in August 2022 Lauryn revealed she plans to move 245 miles from Brighton to make a home on his doorstep.
Kyle said he met her at the lawyer’s office to try to prevent the move. It was then that he met his son Kairo for the first time and the couple continued to keep in touch without Annie’s knowledge.
In early October 2022, Kyle traveled to London for groin surgery and met Lauryn.

He said: “It wasn’t intentional or premeditated but I slept with her. A lot was happening. That’s not an excuse. I tore my groin, I had the World Championship to get ready to fight.”
But then he received the bombshell news that Lauryn was pregnant again.
He recalled, “Lauryn told me in late October, early November. I remember I was going up to the gym when she called me. Then I went to a physiotherapist. I almost passed out. I was just white. He said to me ‘What happened?’, and I didn’t want to tell him because I needed to process it myself.
“I asked if we could cancel the session and he just said, ‘Fine.’
“I went into survival mode. I asked myself, ‘What can I do now every day to make sure I go home to Annie and the boys?’.
“When I was dealing with all that, I was still able to play football. My mom and my dad and my friends asked me: ‘How?’.
“But that was my release. It was 90 minutes, 100 minutes, two hours if you want to call it that, where I didn’t have to look at that phone or listen to the demands of a certain someone.
“I did my best to keep this a secret, not because I’m embarrassed or ashamed. . . I try to be a private person.
“I take full ownership of the choices I made that hurt other people.
“No one put a gun to my head and said I had to do these things. I did it of my own free will and I will not blame anything or anyone else in this situation.
“I did it, me and Lauryn. We both did this.
“If I could go back and do it a different way, I would. I knew what was coming next. The second child was born and the due date was set. It scared me.”

In the same month, he verbally agreed a £15m move to German giants Bayern Munich – to try to escape the looming scandal.
But in the end he turned them down because he didn’t want to be away from his family when his secret came out.
Then, the day after Boxing Day, Lauryn sent Annie a message on Instagram, telling her: “I don’t have two dads – I have one.”
She also shared a photo of Kyle on a date with Lauryn and the two kids at the park.
Kyle added: “I knew something was up when I got back from the Club World Cup before Christmas because I spoke to Lauryn.
“She was screaming into the phone, saying Annie was pregnant. I said it wasn’t. It’s none of her business. I felt I had to lie to her because I knew she would fail if I told her the truth.
“Pregnancy was the final straw.”
My trip to Munich to escape
KYLE has told how he almost followed Harry Kane to Bayern Munich to avoid a looming baby scandal.
The defender verbally agreed a £15m move to the German champions in July.
He said: “I tried to escape. Did I want to leave City? No, of course not. We are the best team in the world at the moment.
“But it was a chance to get away from England and the media I was going to get.
“I was aware that the clock was ticking. I was very close to moving. We had conversations. I went to a big club, a big club. But in the end I couldn’t leave.
“If I’m in Germany and this happens, Annie leaves and now I’m alone in Germany.
“My children would not be around the corner where I can see them.
“There’s pain and emotion right now, but I can go home, take my kids to school and my little boy to soccer.”
Annie ordered the £160,000-a-week star out of the family home in Cheshire and gave up her wedding ring in the meantime.
She hired lawyer Coleen Rooney Wagatha Christie, Paul Lunt and PR guru Rachel Monk.
Shortly after the New Year, she announced in a statement that she would be taking “some time” away from Kyle.
He said, “It’s my fault. It’s totally my fault. That’s what I did. But children are innocent in all of this and that must be everyone’s first priority.
“I don’t know what the future holds. But I had to give an explanation. My family, the kids have been through enough… and it’s my fault.”

GRATEFUL Kyle has thanked his Man City manager Pep Guardiola and England’s Gareth Southgate for standing by him.
Kyle called the Spaniard “amazing”.
He said: “He didn’t know what was going on.
“I didn’t want to tell him because I didn’t want him to think that I wasn’t mentally there.
“I cannot thank him enough for the understanding and faith he has shown in me over four years.”
Pep, 53, made Kyle captain despite objections from some fans. And the pair embraced on the pitch last Friday after the 1-0 win against Spurs in the FA Cup.
Kyle was visibly emotional and repeatedly punched the air.
He said Southgate – who made him England captain against North Macedonia last year – sent a text message of support after his latest sex scandal.
He declined to divulge details, but said: “For your national team coach to lend a hand in a time of need, that’s beyond football.”
