The woman, who lives in a flat overlooking the scene, said she heard “yelling” after a group knife fight broke out.

The police allegedly “forbid” tenants from going out on the balconies.

A local said: “I heard three people arguing. Our flat is facing where it happened, I just heard shouting.

“None of us can go out on the balcony because we’ve been told to go back inside.”

Another witness told MyLondon: “It’s a big city, it’s the same everywhere, London or other cities.

“But this street is usually fine, people know each other – it’s not such a big place.”

It comes after one victim was tragically pronounced dead at the scene in Wandsworth Road.

Another, in his 20s, was rushed to hospital as a priority.

A third victim, also in his 20s, was treated in hospital for injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
