When she was 6 years old, she often played badminton with her father. After graduation, she worked as an engineer at ATOS India, a private company. In 2014, she represented Maharashtra in the Asian Games trials and won the same year, beating Arjuna Award winner Parul Parmar. In 2018, she started training at P. Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.

- Her life took a tragic turn in 2011 while she was driving a two-wheeler. A truck hit her, crushing her left leg, which was amputated due to an infection in the leg. After 50 days in the hospital, she began walking with the help of a prosthetic leg. She participated in and won the office badminton competition, which gave her a new direction in life.
