Mariah Carey is not called the Queen of Christmas for nothing!
On Monday, December 23, the singer (55) reposted her photo, which she shared on Billboard’s Instagram after revealing that her holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas is You” topped their Hot 100 chart for a record 17 weeks.
“This is amazing!!!! She will never take this for granted,” Carey captioned a post on her Instagram Stories. “Merry early Christmas!!!!”

In her celebratory photo, the singer wears a skin-tight red dress while surrounded by perfectly wrapped presents under the Christmas tree.
Billboard also revealed in the title of their post that Carey had already scored a No. 1 spot on the songs chart with another 1990s tune. The new record surpasses the 16-week run held by Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day,” which was No. 1 in 1995-96.
They also shared that “All I Want for Christmas is You” — which leads the Hot 100 for the third week in a row this holiday season — also has the third-longest run of dominance in the chart’s 66-year history.

Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ Hits 2 Billion Spotify Streams: ‘Beyond Incredible’ (Exclusive)
The record-breaking song debuted in 1994 on Carey’s Merry Christmas album.
According to Billboardit first appeared in the top 10 of their Hot 100s chart in December 2017 before entering the top five a year later. In 2019, it topped the charts for three weeks during the holiday season.
The song has remained popular ever since. He spent two weeks on top in 2020, three weeks in 2021, four weeks on top in 2022 and two weeks of reign in 2023.

The achievement comes after Carey wrapped up her star-studded Christmas Time Tour on Tuesday, December 17.

Just days earlier, it was revealed that “All I Want for Christmas Is You” became the first holiday song to reach 2 billion streams on Spotify.
“This is beyond incredible. I’m honored that ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ is the first holiday song on Spotify to reach 2 billion streams! I’m so grateful to all the Spotify listeners around the world who have made this song a part of their holiday tradition year after year,” Carey told PEOPLE in a Dec. 13 statement.
