Mariah Carey Embraces the Season in Snow Princess-Inspired Look at 2023 Billboard Music Awards

Mariah Carey brought winter glamor to the 2023 Billboard Music Awards.

The singer (54) arrived at the event in a chic look inspired by a snow princess. Her all-white ensemble included a plunging minidress with a front zipper with cozy cuffs and silver embellishments along the hem.

She accessorized with sheer leggings, knee-high boots and cat-like sunglasses. Her signature long hair was styled in loose curls.

Carey took the stage at the ceremony to sing “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” marking the first time the iconic holiday song has been performed at an awards show.

In keeping with her status as the Queen of Christmas, Carey made a royal entrance, as she was lowered onto the stage in a chair ski lift. She sang her festive hit in front of the backdrop of a retro ski hut,

Earlier this week, Carey said Access that her 12-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe will participate in the play.

“I love it. I love seeing them step into this performance space, this music space, and the fact that they’re eager to do that, that’s on them,” she said.

Carey holds the record for the artist with the most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 — thanks in part to the holiday hit, which spent 12 weeks atop the chart.

Other Billboard Music Awards 2023 performers include David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, KAROL G, Peso Pluma and Morgan Wallen. As part of the renewed format of the awards, these performances are broadcast from locations around the world.
