Mariana married her husband Gustavo Alvarez many years ago. Her husband worked as a truck driver in a grain mill. They have three children, Agustin, Rafael and Julian, from a marriage in the small community of Calchin, Argentina. Julian is the youngest of their three children, while Agustin is the oldest. They fully support their children’s ambitions as parents.
Agustin tried out for the first division of Colon, but his career was cut short by a knee injury, so he finished his studies and graduated in accounting. Rafael, their eldest son, just married his longtime love, Agus Ulla, in a stunning wedding ceremony on July 1, 2022.

All three of their children, Agustin, Rafael and Julian, played soccer as children. Marijana claims that all three were completely in love with soccer and played in every room of the house, the garage and on the field, and that she had to yell at them at night because they would still be outside playing and she refused to go. Julian followed Agustin and Rafael to Atletico Calchin and played with them.
He scored a lot of goals in every game when he was at the football school, which made him stand out from the other older boys. Rafael said seeing Julian score a few goals was nothing new for him and Agustin, which they witnessed at Atletico Calchino every weekend. Julian is known as “La Arana”, which translates to “spider”. He was nicknamed as a child because he appeared to have several legs. Gustavo described taking the ball from Julian as difficult. He was noticed by other teams, and when they came to Calchin, they kept asking if Little Spider was playing or not. Since then it has been called “La Arana”. Julian had trials with Real Madrid when he was 11 and his team won, but despite the fact that he was only 11 at the time and the club only signed boys aged 13 to 17, the youth academy director told them Julian would could stay.
When he turned 15, he told his father that if the club wanted to sign him, he would accept it, and he joined River Plate from Atletico Calchino in 2016 before progressing to the senior team in 2018. In his sixth game with River Plate , won the Copa Libertadores with six goals in an 8-1 win against Alianza Lima.
Her son Julian gave his first bus a beautiful new vehicle.
Rafael Varas, Julian’s first coach, saw that Julian was born to play football and would become a global star as soon as he watched him beat four or five opponents and score a rabona goal when he was just eight or nine years old. Varas denies being his coach, claiming that he cannot lead a player like him and can only advise him. Varas, who was also a delivery man at the time, burst into tears when Julian gave him a brand new vehicle after discovering that the van he was driving was too big. Alvarez’s father showed up outside his house in the fall of 2020 to offer him the keys to his new vehicle.
