Mark Ronson and Grace Gummer’s Marriage: All About Their Relationship

Mark Ronson and Grace Gummer love each other very much.

The producer and actress first sparked engagement rumors in May 2021 before secretly tying the knot that year. They became parents for the first time when they had a daughter in 2023.

Not only did Ronson (48) get a life partner when he married Gummer (37), but he also became the son-in-law of award-winning actress Meryl Streep, who is Gummer’s mother.

The “I’m Just Ken” songwriter and Streep shared a sweet moment together at the 2024 Grammy Awards when they presented Miley Cyrus’ Album of the Year onstage. Gummer joined her mother and sister Mamie at a table in the audience to support Ronson, who was up for various awards for his work on the film Barbie sound recording.

In a February 2024 interview with PEOPLE, Ronson spoke openly about how important Gummer and their daughter are to him, calling his family his “anchor.”

“The most important thing is to be with her, so I’ve never had that – I mean, obviously with my wife too, I love her; I never want to be apart from her for more than a day if I don’t have to be,” he said. “Sometimes I have to be away to write music and do whatever I have to do. But it’s like once you have a child, it really becomes the most important thing now.”

They confirmed their engagement in May 2021

In May 2021, the couple got engaged when Gummer was seen with a large diamond on her left ring finger. Days after Gummer was photographed with her impressive jewelry, Ronson confirmed that he was engaged.

The Grammy winner revealed to Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker FADER exposed podcast that he popped the question last weekend, saying he and Gummer kissed for the first time while listening to Tame Impala’s InnerSpeaker album.

“There’s a plaque for that somewhere. There’s a first kiss plaque, a very corny Hallmark first kiss plaque,” he said. “But no, it was forever, it will be etched. It’s still my record.”

They got married in August 2021

As Ronson celebrated his 46th birthday in September 2021, he made a surprise announcement that he and Gummer had tied the knot. Alongside their wedding photo, he wrote: “To my most sincere love… out of nowhere you made 45 of the most beautiful years of my life. And I’m sure it took me 45 years to become a man worthy of your love.”

“I hope to spend each of these birthdays with you until my last day. And beyond. Forever yours ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ (and yes, we got married),” he added.

Although their celebration was supposed to be a larger affair, the couple scaled back their New York wedding in August 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to Page six.

They are parents

In October 2022, Gummer revealed that she and Ronson were expecting their first child in W Magazine50th anniversary party in New York, where her baby bump was on display.

The couple later welcomed a baby girl, and it was Ronson’s sister, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, who confirmed her arrival. “[Gummer] just had a baby. She’s two and a half months now,” Dexter-Jones told PEOPLE in March 2023. “She’s amazing.”

While speaking with PEOPLE in February 2024, Ronson said their daughter was born while he was working on Barbie sound recording.

“The first time she was in the recording studio was when we were doing the final mix for ‘I’m Just Ken,’ and I was walking her back and forth, listening at a much more reasonable volume than usual,” he said. .

They supported each other at many events

During their relationship, Gummer and Ronson supported each other at various public events. In June 2023, Gummer walked the pink carpet with Ronson as they attended the film’s premiere Barbiefor which Ronson produced the soundtrack.

Ronson posted many sweet tributes to Gummer, gushing about his love for the actress. In an August 2022 Instagram post for their anniversary, Ronson noted how Gummer made him believe in sweet Hallmark love.

“When people told me their spouse was their best friend, I thought they were talking dangerous nonsense or some freak love anomaly,” he captioned a photo of him and Gummer. “So now I guess I’m either someone who spouts dangerous nonsense or I’m a freakish anomaly of love. Or maybe I just married the most amazing human being. Happy anniversary to my dearest, you made me happier than my craziest time ❤️🎂❤️🎂 ”

While accepting the Critics Choice Award for his Barbie song “I’m Just Ken,” Ronson paid sweet tribute to his wife and daughter during his speech. “To my wife and my daughter, Ruthie and Grace, you are my world and my everything, so thank you very much,” Ronson said on stage.

Ronson seems to be quite friends with Gummer’s famous mother. In addition to walking red carpets together, the two showed off their sweet relationship while presenting together at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

“I’m really, really honored to be here with you tonight, Mark, to present the most important award of the night, album of the year,” Streep said on stage before Ronson hilariously corrected her by revealing they were announcing album of the year.

With both Ronson and Streep up for Golden Globes at the 2024 ceremony, the producer spoke briefly about his mother-in-law during an interview with Party tonight. Gushing about her amazing singing Just the murders in the buildingRonson added: “She can do anything.”
