Mark Ruffalo's 3 Kids: All About Keen, Bella and Odette

Mark Ruffalo is more than the strongest Avenger — he’s also the proud father of three.

The Hulk the actor and his wife of more than 20 years, Sunrise Coigney, had their first child, son Keen, in 2001. They later had two daughters: Bella in 2005 and Odette in 2007.

Ruffalo told PEOPLE in 2019 that balancing acting, his environmental activism and fatherhood isn’t always easy — especially when dealing with an issue.

“It’s intense. The times when my wife is not there and I had to take care of everything… just the laundry is enough to destroy you”, he joked and added that his wife is “simply a hero”.

In his spare time, the actor and his family enjoy snowboarding, cooking and gardening. It’s less about the activity, Ruffalo said, and more about being together.

“I like those moments where you’re just kidding around and then, all of a sudden, your kids open up to you and you have that deep conversation where they bring up their problems — it’s hard for them, especially at that age,” he added. “But my kids are way smarter than me, man. They are so engaged in the world.”

Ruffalo also talked about having children with disabilities. in 2015, he said Vanity Fair that all three children have dyslexia, and two have ADHD.

While Keen, Bella and Odette mostly stay out of the limelight, the trio made brief cameos in 2017. Thor: Ragnarokand they also attended several premieres with their famous dad, including those from 2013 You see me now and in 2019 Avengers: Endgame.

In February 2024, Keen and Bella joined Ruffalo at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The actor sweetly greeted his children during his acceptance speech, saying, “You’ve taught me so much about being a parent, being a man, being an actor, and this is your star.”

Ruffalo and Coigny’s eldest child and only son, Keen, was born on June 19, 2001, a year after his parents married.

Ruffalo’s eldest has yet to follow in his father’s footsteps, but has plunged into the world of acting, recording cameo roles in two of his dad’s projects, Start again in 2013 and Thor: Ragnarok.

Keen also sat next to his dad, mom and youngest sister, Odette, when Ruffalo practically won best actor at the 2021 Golden Globes for his dual role in the HBO miniseries I know this is very true. In his speech, Ruffalo thanked his family for their support in his career.

Keen does not express himself online — although he has over 15,000 followers on Instagram, his account is private. However, he appeared on the red carpet with his famous father. Keen stepped out with his parents for the film’s premiere Avengers: Age of Ultron and Reflector in 2015.

Ruffalo shared sweet messages about his new baby on Instagram. For Keen’s birthday in 2021, Just like in paradise the actor posted a photo of his smiling son with the caption: “Happy birthday Keeno! 20 years to heaven. So thankful you are my boy. I held you in my arms like a treasure. I hold you in my heart like a treasure … Proud of you son .”

The Poor people star shared a similar sentiment in 2023 by posting a throwback photo of Keen. “22 years old and stronger than ever,” the actor wrote in the caption.

Bella Noche Ruffalo, 19

Ruffalo and Coigney welcomed their first daughter, Bella Noche, on April 12, 2005.

The Dark waters the actor said he was proud of her because she had grown into an individual. “My daughter, Bella, is so big and beautiful and coming into her own,” Ruffalo captioned an Instagram photo of his middle child in 2021.

Bella has appeared on numerous red carpets over the years. She accompanied her father to the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, where the duo wore matching suits, and they paired up again for the Roundabout Theater Company’s 2017 Spring Gala in New York City.

In 2022, Bella stuck with mom and dad at the premiere of the movie Project Adam and regained the heart sign with her dad and older brother Keen on She-Hulk: Lawyer debut.

In honor of Bella’s 18th birthday, Coigney shared a sweet message on Instagram. “The day you were born was one of the most magical days of my life and you’ve been magical ever since,” the mother of three wrote in part. “We love you and are so proud of you. You lived twice your age, and they did it in style.”

Ruffalo also celebrated Bella’s birthday, writing on Instagram: “Happy 18th birthday @belladogood. You live your life like a comet in the sky—burning bright and beautiful. Keep it up kid. So proud of you and who you are in the beginning your coming of age Xoxo.”

Bella graduated high school in 2023 and lives in New York, according to her Instagram bio.

Odette Moon Ruffalo, 17

The youngest of Ruffalo’s offspring, daughter Odette, was born on October 14, 2007.

When Odette and her siblings visited the set Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, Ruffalo said Party tonight the kids “were dressed as Dr. Seuss characters,” and while they enjoyed their day on set, one was all they needed.

“They were like, ‘The camera was on us. It was on us.’ They had a great day. They were there all day, which is exactly the experience I want them to have,” said the actor.

Ruffalo added that his children “love” his role as a superhero. He told the newspaper that his daughter tells her friends at school: “My dad is the Hulk.”

Odette joined her family at several public events. In 2013, she played with another famous mother-child duo, Naomi Watts and her son Sasha Schreiber, at a screening of the film in New York. Frozen. Odette also hung out with her sister Bella and mom at the movie screening The BFG in 2016.
