Before the Jonas Brothers were selling out stadiums, Nick, Joe and Kevin were three kids from New Jersey trying to make it in the music business – and touring in a van to perform for fans.
“When we first started, in 2005 and 2006, we would travel up and down the East Coast in our red 12-passenger van pulling a trailer with all our gear. That was our baby; we spent thousands of hours there,” oldest brother Kevin recalled to PEOPLE. “We flipped one of the rows of seats in the back of the van to face each other and play card games and hang out on long drives. Lots of good memories of those days.”
And while they might be traveling a little more in style on their current tour (which kicked off at New York’s Yankee Stadium in August), they’ve never lost their taste for travel — which is why they’ve partnered with car-sharing service Turo to let fans reserve cars in their cities on tour (including three owned by the brothers themselves!) and get a chance to meet them.
The trio took a break from touring to answer some of our questions about their favorite moments from the tour — and the new memories they’re making on tour with their fans.

Since starting their tour in August, the Jonas Brothers have played more than 30 concerts spanning all five of their albums. While it certainly isn’t the first time the band has hit the road, this time feels different, Joe explained.
“The most different thing about the tour this time is the amount of songs we sing on stage and the total length of the show – about 3 hours,” said Joe. “It’s about 57 songs, which is by far the longest list of our career.”
And after a career spanning nearly 20 years, not only have the three brothers grown and evolved, but so have their fans. During this tour, videos of the touching interactions the brothers had with concertgoers during their set circulated online.

“Talking to some of these fans during the show and hearing their stories, their journey with us listening to our music, hearing some of these amazing stories about how these albums have affected their lives… it means a lot to us,” Joe said. .
One particular highlight, Kevin says, is that “there were a ton of baby announcements during our song ‘Little Bird,’ which was very special.” (The song is about their daughters — five between them.)

To take these fan connections a step further, the band has partnered with Tura to offer fans the opportunity to rent cars that are special to them. For the Oct. 14 show in Miami, Florida, Joe’s Escalade will be on sale, while Nick’s Toyota Tundra is available for the Oct. 29 show in Anaheim, and on Dec. 9, for the band’s Brooklyn stop, Kevin’s Range Rover is on deck.
Winners will meet Nick, Joe or Kevin in their respective cities to collect the keys and will receive two goodie bags and two VIP tickets to a show in that city. The brothers told PEOPLE that working with the company felt like a “natural fit” because “some of our fondest memories were made on the road and we’ve always loved cars.”
Nick recalled a memory with his truck from earlier this year, when he and his brothers were getting ready for a residency in Las Vegas.
“Earlier this year the three of us drove my truck from LA to Vegas to start the residency, stopping along the way for great meals and conversation,” said Nick.

If you ever find yourself on a road trip with Nick to his ideal destination, Yosemite National Park, you’ll probably hear his favorite song for the ride, Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA”.
“It was my idea! Nick stole it,” Joe joked, though he added that he would also enjoy listening to Billy Joel’s “Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” while driving. (Kevin will play “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts.)
In addition to the three cars from the brothers’ personal driveways, six more will be available from Turo’s special listing, all for $300 per day. Entries open on October 12th at 10am (PST) at turo.com/jonas-brothers.
