Former Sexiest Man Alive Chris Hemsworth has a suggestion for this year’s contest!
Hemsworth, 41, who joined Transformers One actors Brian Tyree Henry and Keegan-Michael Key at the film’s New York premiere, revealed one person in mind for the upcoming issue of PEOPLE magazine.
In a conversation with LJUDI at the premiere of the animated film in August, The Avengers star says he thinks the 2024 pick should be none other than Henry.
“Brian Tyree Henry. He is one of the most handsome men in the world,” Hemsworth tells PEOPLE. “I love him.”

As for his advice for the winner of the 2024 Sexiest Man Alive contest, which will be announced on November 12, all Hemsworth has to say is a simple “Congratulations!”
And after being shown his fresh 2014 cover, he quips: “What happened to me?”

Back in 2014, the then 31-year-old actor thought it was “pretty funny” when he first heard the news that he had been voted the sexiest man alive – along with his wife, Spanish model Elsa Pataky, 38, whom he married in 2010 .
“I think you bought me a few weeks of bragging rights around the house,” he told PEOPLE at the time. “I can just tell her, ‘Now remember, this is what people think, so I don’t need to do the dishes anymore, I don’t need to change diapers. I’m above that. Now I have succeeded.’ ”
Aussie Hemsworth also revealed that he prefers to sleep without his pajamas, has a signature dance move (with a spin!) and would rather be at home in Australia, where he and Pataky live with their three children – daughter India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan – than anywhere else.
“We just had a big day at the beach with the kids, swimming and kicking a ball around,” he told PEOPLE on the cover of 2014. “It was the first time in a long time that we’ve done that. That’s what it’s all about.”

Hemsworth, Henry (42) and Key (53) play the main roles. Transformers One as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime, D-16/Megatron and B-127/Bumblebee. The animated film also stars Scarlett Johansson, Jon Hamm and Laurence Fishburne.
New transformers the sequel shows “how the most iconic characters in the Transformers universe, Orion Pax and D-16, go from brothers-in-arms to sworn enemies, Optimus Prime and Megatron,” according to the official synopsis.
In July, Hemsworth, Henry and Key joined director Josh Cooley and transformers producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura at their Comic-Con panel in Hall H. At the event, Hemsworth revealed to PEOPLE that when he was offered the job, he consulted with three trusted advisors: his children,
“I went to my kids and said, ‘What do you think?’ ” he recalled. “And they said, ‘You have to do it.’
