We should have known that this celebrity-used cosmetic brand would be in Martha Stewart’s makeup kit.
In an Instagram video shared on Merit Beauty’s Instagram account earlier this week, the 83-year-old showed off her five-minute makeup routine — which, simply put, is “easier than making a pot of soup,” according to the star.
And we spotted so much goodness in the clip: there was a bronzer used on Lily Collins, a bronzer that’s part of Hilary Duff’s makeup routine and, of course, mascara once used on Collins, Duff, Mandy Moore and Sarah Jessica Parker.

“I have beautiful long lashes and I like to show them off,” Stewart said as she coated hers with Clean Lash Mascara. It doesn’t smudge but still comes off easily with cleanser, it’s an easy to layer formula that adds a certain edge that many of our natural lashes often lack. It won’t leave your lashes crunchy either, as it contains olive oil esters and fatty acids that your hair will absorb immediately.
It also “doesn’t clump at all” and “lasts all work day with no fallout,” according to one customer. And it may not be waterproof, but it’s the “only” one that another customer, who always has “raccoon eyes,” now wears.

Towards the end of the video, the Shade Slick Tinted Lip Oil appeared. A PEOPLE test winner, the $26 tube earns the title of our top long-lasting pick. What’s more, its pigments will adjust to your pH, so it can change color slightly from person to person.

While Stewart didn’t use the brand’s blush — which Cameron Diaz once called her “favorite” — she added some color and glow to her cheekbones with Merit Cream Bronzer and Champagne Highlighter. She defined her eyes with matte eyeshadow in the Vachetta shade.
