The Thanksgiving festivities have just begun for Martha Stewart!

Just a few days after sharing The Kelly Clarkson Show canceled her plans to host a holiday gathering, the lifestyle mogul, 82, revealed what she’ll be doing instead of celebrating.

Martha Stewart reveals she canceled Thanksgiving dinner: ‘I threw up!’

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, Stewart shared that she was busy “preparing to bake thirty pies” and was preparing to cook “a 20-pound, stuffed and roasted organic, heritage bird” to help out at her friend Stephen Sill’s “buffet” .

She explained that she made a selection of pies with flavors that included pecan, chocolate pecan and pumpkin pies. The post featured a sneak peek into her baking process.

“My giant chocolate turkey, made using my giant antique turkey mold, hasn’t survived storage since October, it fell apart in on itself. I’m melting the chocolate and using it for chocolate pecan pies,” Stewart wrote alongside a photo of the chocolate turkey.

The entrepreneur said she no longer hosts people in her home “due to guest cancellations and new travel plans.”

As well as helping out with her friend’s feast, she will also keep busy working on her garden, which includes planting 75 peonies and digging up “hundreds of other peonies to relocate”.

“Leaves are systematically blown off and composted, compost is spread over all the flower beds, and soup coats are made to cover hundreds of boxwood bushes for the cold winter ahead,” she explained.

Stewart invited fans to submit photos of their Thanksgiving meals for a future post on her website and ended her update by asking her fans to “hope and pray for peace.”

“I hope that we will soon see an improvement in our world affairs and that there will be some resolution to the Ukraine-Russia conflict and the Israeli-Palestinian war that is hurting so many. Our world needs good news – its people need a break from political, environmental and social conflicts,” she wrote.

Last year, Stewart showed her love for the holiday season by sharing a series of photos on Instagram that highlighted her collection of decorative turkeys.
