Mason Ramsey, the 'Walmart Yodeling Kid,' Is All Grown Up — and Driving Around L.A. in a Lamborghini

It’s been nearly seven years since Mason Ramsey went viral for yodeling in the middle of a Walmart in 2018 — and it looks like he’s grown up a bit in that time!

Ramsey, now 18, was pulled over by Instagram and TikTok interviewer Daniel Mac while driving around Los Angeles in a Lamborghini. Mac hosts a popular video series called “What Do You Do For A Living?” where he stops people driving in nice cars to ask them … just that. In the video, Mac asked Ramsey, wearing sunglasses and an orange jacket, what he does for a living, to which Ramsey replied, “I sing country music.” Surprised by the young driver in such a flashy car, Mac asked in the video, “So are you like, famous or something?”

Ramsey then revealed to Mac that he “started yodeling at Walmart a few years ago.”

“Wait, you’re the ‘Yodel Kid?’ Mac asked, suddenly recognizing the young singer driving the car. “Wait dude, I feel old now!” Driving around LA in a fancy car isn’t unusual for the country singer, who rose to fame after a video of him yodeling Hank Williams’ “Lovesick Blues” in a Walmart when he was just 11 years old garnered more than 25 million views on social media in just a few days.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Ramsey explained his love for all things classic — including classic cars.

“I just got a 1968 Chevrolet K10,” Ramsey excitedly told PEOPLE in an interview. “The K10 stands for four-wheel drive as opposed to the C10, which is a rear-wheel drive car.”

Shortly after his meteoric rise to fame, Ramsey was signed to Atlantic Records and Nashville’s Big Loud, and his debut single “Famous” entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at number 62.

2022 Ramsey’s song “Before I Knew It” from his 2019 EP. tung gained popularity on TikTok after being featured in several videos updating followers about his life.

Ramsey recently completed the first leg of his Falls Into Place Tour on December 16, in support of his latest album, I will see you in my dreams.
