MC Stan was born Altaf Shaikh (also known as Altaf Tadavi) in Pune, Maharashtra, on Monday, August 30, 1999 (age 23; as of 2022). His zodiac sign is Virgo. He grew up near Thadivala Road in Pune. He graduated in 12th rank from a school in Pune. According to MC Stan, after completing his studies, he was too popular to continue his studies. At the age of 12, he started performing Qawwali dance. His brother introduced him to rap when he was in sixth grade. Growing up, MC Stan listened to many American music artists, including 50 Cent, Eminem, Young Thug, Lil Wayne, etc. Before starting rapping, he learned B-boying and beatboxing.

After the breakup, MC Stan shared her address on social media and some of his fans showed up outside her home, some of whom even threatened to rape her. In retaliation, she posted MC Stan’s address on her social media. MC Stan reportedly sent his manager Vardhaman Mehta and two other men to attack her after she posted her address. In an interview, she said of the incident:
I have also posted the home address of MC Stan and his manager Vardhaman Mehta on my Instagram account along with the video. In retaliation, he called the Santa Cruz Police Department and filed a non-identifiable complaint against me for posting his address. On February 21, two friends and I went to the police station after receiving the call. Mehta and his friends were there. When we returned home, Mehta and his friends Akash and Sunny followed us on their bikes. They stopped the car, insulted us, punched us, and took my iPhone away and smashed it. ”

Her nose and face were injured. Somehow, she managed to reach the police station to file a complaint against MC Stan, but they refused to do so. The Santacruz police registered an FIR against Vardhaman Mehta, Aakash and Sunny on March 3, 2022; however, no one was arrested. During an interview about the TV show Bigg Boss in 2022, when asked if he would look for romance on the show, he replied that he has a girlfriend outside the Bigg Boss house.

In an episode of Colors TV show ‘Bigg Boss’ Season 16, MC Stan shared the story of how he went to Anam Shaikh’s house to propose marriage. He said,

- MC Stan used the word “Stan” in his stage name because he is a fan of the famous American rapper Eminem, and Eminem’s fan base is called “Stans”. Since he considers himself a mic holder rather than a rapper, he uses the word “MC” in his name. His favorite rappers are 2Pac and Eminem.
- He learned English specifically to understand the lyrics of English rap songs.
- He wrote his first rap song when he was in eighth grade at school.
- During the interview, he revealed that he smoked marijuana.
- He raps in Hindi and wants to make the language known globally. In an interview, he talked about his record label Hindi Records and said,
