Megan Thee Stallion Surprises the Crowd at Beyoncé’s Hometown Renaissance Show in Houston

Beyoncé’s hometown show in Houston was the wildest renaissance tour date yet.

The superstar, 42, brought his Renaissance World Tour to Houston on Saturday, with Megan Thee Stallion – who also hails from the Texas city – hitting the stage as a special guest.

Fans captured the surprise appearance, in which the two performed their collaboration “Savage (Remix).”

“I love you queen,” Beyoncé told Megan in a video shared on X, formerly known as Twitter. In response, the rapper declared, “I love you, Beyoncé.”

The concert in Houston marked the first time the “Break My Soul” singer and Megan, 28, performed the 2020 hit live together.

The New York PostPage Six reported Thursday that the “Body” rapper was dropped from the lineup at New York’s Global Citizen Festival when Queen Bey invited her to take the stage that same day at her show in Houston.

Last week, the music festival announced in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the hip-hop star had to pull out “due to an unforeseen scheduling conflict.”

Megan Thee Stallion (whose real name is Megan Pete) first released “Savage” on her Scabies EP in March 2020. After the song went viral on TikTok, Beyoncé jumped on board to remix it in late April of that year. The collaboration propelled the song to even greater success — reaching No. 1 on the Hot 100 and earning Best Rap Song by a Duo and Best Rap Performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards.
