Megan Thee Stallion is embracing the spooky season!
On Monday, the rapper shared a video on Instagram teasing new music and that a corresponding music video could be on the way.
The Grammy-winning rapper (28) shared a short video in which she focuses on her lips. “Just as a snake sheds its skin, we must shed our past, again and again,” she said in the video.

The clip continues with a quick look at the singer in the shadows with snake-like eyes. He then quickly cut to her side profile as she opened her mouth to reveal her fangs.
The sneak peek then concluded with two slides that read “Story by Megan Thee Stallion” and “Directed by Douglas Bernardt.”
The post was simply titled “ACT ONE 🐍”, prompting followers and fans to race in the comments. Thousands shared their excitement at the prospect of new music in the comments section of the post. Some fans even commented on the tone of the video and shared their hopes for the horror-inspired project.
“GET THE HORROR ROCK GIRLIES out there😩😤😭😭🗣️,” wrote one fan. Another praised the singer for appearing as a reference Rocky Horror Movie Show, writing, “This is sooooo Rocky Horror coded.”

Megan’s latest post follows her settlement with her former label 1501 Certified Entertainment.
The label announced on social media that the singer and the label “have mutually reached a confidential settlement to resolve their legal differences.” PEOPLE has confirmed that the case was settled in Megan’s favor.
“I am pleased to announce that Megan and I have come to the table to resolve our legal differences,” 1501 Certified Entertainment CEO Carl Crawford said in a statement to PEOPLE. “During this time we grew, developed and amicably decided to part ways. I am very pleased with the outcome and confident in the future of 1501.”

In 2020, the rapper claimed that her label prevented her from releasing new music. She was then granted a temporary restraining order against the company and its CEO, and then managed to release a nine-song EP titled Scabies.
The “Sweetest Pie” rapper later revealed that she has no plans to sign with a new record label anytime soon and will be self-funding her next project.
