Meghan Markle & Prince Harry ‘made key mistakes’ which destroyed attempt to win over America & led to South Park mocking

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 42, failed to start their ‘normal lives’ across the pond after fleeing Britain and leaving the company in 2020.

Attending publicized events, seeing each other on red carpets and starring in Netflix documentaries, Harry (39) and Meghan planned to go into the world of celebrity and conquer the US.

But a series of miscalculations and shocking bombshells led to the couple turning the American public against them.

Royal author Angela Levin exclusively told The Sun that their “hypocrisy” and “attacks” on the royal family are why they have come under fire – not just in the UK.

The expert said: “I think the endless moaning turns Americans off because they prefer people who are sympathetic to people who blame everyone else.

“They also don’t like attacks on the royal family, especially since they loved and admired the Queen so much.”

The extent of the hatred towards the Sussexes was clear when they were mocked in an episode of South Park.

The episode, called the World Privacy Tour, poked fun at Harry and Meghan – as they exited the plane holding signs that read “we want our privacy” and “stop looking at us”.

Angela said the couple, who she believes went on a “revenge trip”, are being ridiculed.

Due to a series of gaffes, the couple rejected any chance of maintaining a relationship with the royal family, she claims.

Angela added, “Neither [Americans] like their hypocrisy seen in South Park – they say they want privacy but keep showing up at Z-Level awards just to get their picture taken.

Prince Harry must apologize. What he did to Charles and William is unacceptable

“Wanting revenge, they threw their changes down the drain. No return.”

It comes after a Newsweek poll found that only 30 percent of Americans like the former Suits star.

Harry was liked by at least 42 percent of the public.

The results were announced the same week Harry lost his High Court battle against the Home Office.

The “mischievous” prince lamented he was “at greater risk” than Princess Diana before being denied taxpayer-funded insurance, court documents reveal.

He also claimed that he and wife Meghan have not received the “same degree” of protection since leaving their royal duties.

The royal also said concerns for the safety of his family – including children Archie and Lilibet – meant he could not return to Britain “because it is too dangerous” after security measures were lifted.
