Mel B knows her look is iconic!

The singer then explained that when she and her bandmates were just starting their careers, they often didn’t have money for nice clothes, so they made the outfits themselves.
In their early days, they were “just penniless,” she said, adding, “It was 50 cents for that top, I probably made the skirt myself, they were called skorces.”

In 2016, Beckham, 49, reportedly said at the “Vogue 100” exhibition at the National Portrait Gallery that she could splurge on her wardrobe because others spend so little on theirs.
“I’ve always loved fashion and that was pretty much it [good] result for me,” she said, Sun reported at the time. “Because the girls always got their clothes for free, because they were shit, so it was a big budget for my little Gucci dress.”
