People are outraged after watching the video of Michael Dunlop’s accident. Michael Dunlop is a Northern Irish professional motorcycle racer.
Michael is the sibling of William Dunlop, son of Robert Dunlop, and cousin of former world champion Joey Dunlop, both of whom died in racing accidents. He won the Armoy Road Race on 27 July 2019, just 16 days after suffering a fractured pelvis. Dunlop’s 18th and 19th wins at his home track in Armoy. He set a solo record on the Snaefell Mountain Course at the 2016 Senior TT in 16 minutes 53.92 seconds at an average speed of 133.962 miles per hour.
Dunlop was the first rider in Isle of Man TT history to complete a lap in under 17 minutes. In 2015, Dunlop was deemed to have “aggressive styling” that was “spectacular to watch”. This arrogance resulted in numerous conflicts with racing teams, opposing racers, and occasionally his deceased sibling. In addition, he often refused to acknowledge the identity of his challengers.

Many videos of Michael Dunlop’s crashes are available on YouTube, but he’s still alive and well in 2023. Three graves in a modest cemetery in rural Northern Ireland bear the name Dunlop.
William, Robert and Joey are three companions. They all died on two wheels from the sport that both created and destroyed them, and they were buried next to each other by the same minister. Since the 1970s, two pairs of brothers have dominated the dangerous, exciting and spectacular world of motorcycle road racing. Joey and Robert were the first to appear, followed by William and Michael, Robert’s children, who continue the race. William Dublop was killed in a car accident in 2018, and people are probably confused by the similar surname.
At Dublin County Coroner’s Court, a three-day inquest into the death of William Dunlop resulted in a verdict of accidental death. On 7 July 2018, Dunlop was killed in a road accident during practice for the Skerries 100. Superintendent Edwards Carroll determined after a lengthy investigation that the crash had occurred because the sump plug on the motorcycle had fallen out, coating the rear tire with oil and causing Dunlop to lose control of the motorcycle . Superintendent Carroll’s findings differ from those of Mr Dunlop’s family, who commissioned their expert assessment.
According to the report, Dunlop’s teammate Paul Jordan witnessed the fall of the Mar-Train Yamaha R1 in the laps that led to Dunlop’s crash.

Michael Dunlop’s racing career
In 2007, Michael Dunlop made his TT debut and finished 25th in the Superbike TT. After his father’s death at the North West 200 earlier that year, he made a last-minute decision to enter the 2008 event. He finished 10th in the Senior TT with a lap time of 124.773 mph, making him the fastest Dunlop on the TT circuit.
Dunlop joined his father and uncle in the record books when he won the Supersport TT event on a 600cc Yamaha. In 2008, Dunlop was the sole winner of the 250cc division of the North West 200. His father was killed during training for the event. Dunlop competed in the Classic Superbike race at the Manx GP on Friday 31st August. At the 2012 Manx Grand Prix he won the Classic Superbike race. This was his sixth Mountain Course championship and third Manx Grand Prix win after winning the Newcomers MGP in 2006. Dunlop worked in the pits for the 600 Junior races for the team during the 2012 Manx GP fortnight.
