Millie Bobby Brown may be marrying the son of a major rock star, but that doesn’t mean the wedding party will have a concert when the couple say their ‘I dos’.
The Stranger Things actress, 19, discovered on Today with Hoda and Jenna Friday that her future father-in-law – rock legend Jon Bon Jovi – will not sing at her wedding to his son Jake Bongiovi.
“I feel like it’s asking me to go and like I’m playing a full game for everybody,” Brown said. “I think a man needs rest, he doesn’t stop! She constantly goes to tennis or singing lessons. I think he needs a break, maybe a three hour break!”
She went on to agree with hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager that letting Bon Jovi make a guest appearance was the way to go, though she hinted that it might be difficult even for him. “That would be wild. I don’t know if he’ll be able to do that,” she laughed.
The bride-to-be, who is in the midst of planning her wedding to Bongiovi, 21, said she hasn’t been doing it all along.
“Jake is very, very involved, very helpful throughout the process. I never felt alone in it, which is very nice. I always ask myself, ‘Is this a good idea, is this a good idea?’ But ultimately, it’s just a very intimate day for both of us and we’re both very excited.”
“I love being home with my fiance and my family,” Brown added. “It’s really boring, but chopping vegetables and taking them to my pony is the best part of my day.”

While promoting her debut novel, Nineteen stepson Good morning America On Thursday, Brown said wedding planning has been “such an amazing part of my life so far,” adding “just being able to do it with someone makes it even better.”

The two did more than just wedding planning together. Earlier this month, a video on her YouTube channel Florence By Mills went viral showing Jake doing her makeup.
Brown admitted further GMA that she was impressed with the final result.

“I’m so used to teaching him about skin care, and when I put a makeup brush in his hand, I was really hesitant,” she said of Bongiovi, who got engaged to the actress in April. “But I think he did a good job.”

The couple, who first sparked romance rumors in June 2021, received the blessing of Jake’s rock star father earlier this year when they revealed their engagement news.
“It’s wise to grow together,” Bon Jovi, 61, said on Andy Cohen’s Sirius XM show Radio Andy. “I think all my kids have found people they think they can grow with and we all like each other.”
“Millie is wonderful. Her whole family is great,” he added. – Jake is very, very happy.
