Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi are enjoying their married life together!

On Thursday, May 13, the newlyweds were seen kissing in between laughs as they strolled through New York City.

Both Stranger Things the star (20) and the model (22) were dressed in a sporty-casual style. Brown wore a white plunging v-neck top with yellow shorts and white sneakers, while Bongiovi was dressed in a white T-shirt, blue shorts, a green and white baseball cap and white sneakers.

The couple first sparked romance rumors in June 2021 and became engaged in April 2023. A few weeks ago, on May 24, PEOPLE learned that they had secretly tied the knot a week before. The couple are also planning a larger ceremony later in the year.

Brown and Bongiovi (son of musician Jon Bon Jovi) have been candid about their relationship – and their mutual love.

The actress first called the 22-year-old her fiance on his 21st birthday in May 2023, sharing a slew of photos of the pair holding hands on her Instagram. “This sums us up,” she wrote at the time. “In bliss, exploring together. Holding your hand forever. happy birthday fiance. I love you.”

In March 2024, Enola Holmes star shared a post on her Instagram Stories showing the couple celebrating three years together, and celebrated the occasion with a heartfelt caption.

“Three years of bliss,” Brown wrote over a picture of herself smiling into the camera with her eyes closed as her fiance nuzzled her cheek, adding: “I love you best friend.”

Also in March, the actress appeared on Tonight’s show Starring Jimmy Fallon to describe how Bongiovi popped the question to her – and it involved going underwater.

“Mainly, Jake and I bonded over diving. We love scuba diving, we got our driver’s licenses together,” Brown said, noting the couple was on vacation the day he proposed.

“‘Mil, you have to get up at 8:00 in the morning, let’s go diving,'” she recalled, recalling what her now husband had told her the night before he was going to propose.

“I thought, ‘8 in the morning, diving?’ … And he tells me, ‘Let’s go to the same place we usually go,'” Brown continued. “I say, it’s boring, let’s go somewhere new.’ He said, ‘No, we have to go to this place.'”

After arriving at their dive location, the actress explained that they dived a few meters underwater before she noticed Bongiovi trying to add something to her.

“It gives me like a shell and I turn it over and it’s a ring. And I love it, I looked at it and it was like…” Brown said, recreating his facial expression while blowing bubbles underwater.

Giving a thumbs up, she said, “This means, ‘up’, ‘I want to go up.’ So that would technically mean, ‘No, I don’t want to marry you, I want to go upstairs.'”

“He puts the ring on my hand and as I go to show him the ring falls off my finger, it falls like, so fast, it was like in a movie,” she said to the laughter of the audience and added: “Jake threw himself, so deep, as if the diver said, ‘You can’t do it, like your ears … literally your brain will explode.'”

“It’s a reflection of who he is and I feel like we’ll always have each other’s backs,” she added at the end of the story, “and if somebody drops the ball, we’ve got it.”
