Although This is us bowed out for the last time in 2022, Milo Ventimiglia is still making appearances for his TV kids!
On Tuesday, May 21, the actor, 46, supported his former actor and filmmaker son, Niles Fitch (Randall Pearson), as he graduated from the University of Southern California alongside his filmmaker daughter, Hannah Zeile (Kate Pearson).
In a photo he shared on his Instagram stories, the trio posed for a candid photo. Fitch could be seen in his prom attire looking off into the distance while Ventimiglia gave him a serious stare. Zeile, on the other hand, smiled for the photo.

Zeile also shared a video from the celebration on her Instagram stories — this time, the group proudly smiled for the picture as Ventimiglia held Fitch’s diploma behind her back.
“Congratulations @nilesfitch,” she captioned the post alongside a string of emojis that included a graduation cap, a bottle of champagne, two crossed fingers and a red heart.
This is us aired on NBC from September 2016 to May 2022. The family drama focused on the lives of siblings Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Randall (Brown) and their parents Rebecca (Moore) and Jack (Ventimiglia ). The series used multiple timelines, showing stories that took place in the present, as well as flashbacks to the siblings’ childhoods and flashbacks to their later years.

While Ventimiglia continues to fulfill his duties as a caring television father off-screen, the actor previously revealed how his real-life father informed his portrayal of Jack Pearson on This is us.
“My mom and dad are wonderful people,” he said during a guest appearance in February 2023 View. “My father and Jack Pearson were from the same era, both born in the 1940s, both Vietnam veterans, and I saw in Jack the way my father was with my sisters and me.”
“What I also saw was an opportunity that with the way he was, he was just some version of my father, and the big three was actually me,” he added. “So I think everything I was doing was just looking up to my dad.”
To help him get into the mindset of a caring, strong father, Ventimiglia shared that he kept a fond memory of his own father on set.
“I had a photo of my dad and me in my trailer when I was little and it said ‘be a good husband, be a good father,'” the actor said. “And I just thought, look at that every day and there you are.”
