Monica Chhelaram Patel was born on Monday, April 26, 1999 in Bangalore, Karnataka (age 24; as of 2023). Her zodiac sign is Taurus. She was born into a family in Rajasthan and moved to Bangalore with her family when she was young. When she was a child, she began playing cricket with her brothers in their colony. She used to always bat and never liked bowling. Neighbors saw her skills and suggested that her family give her professional training. She started training at a local cricket club and on her first day at the club, she took the wicket of a senior student and received high praise from the coach. Her coach suggested she become a bowler, but she made it clear to him that she wanted to pursue a career in batting. Later, he asked her to try everything and become an all-rounder.

In March 2021, she got a call and was selected in the Indian team for the series against South Africa. She made her ODI debut against South Africa in Lucknow on March 7, 2021. On February 13, 2023, she was purchased by Gujarat Giants for Rs. 30 Lakhs to be auctioned in WPL Auction 2023. The Women’s Super League will begin on March 4, 2023 at the DY Patil Stadium with the first match between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians.
