A MUM who died in a horror crash on the M6 involving a car allegedly driving “the wrong way” has been named locally as Jade McEnroe.
The 33-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene along with the 42-year-old and two boys aged 15 and seven who were traveling together in the Toyota.

A third boy, aged seven, believed to be Jadein and also in the vehicle, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Newcastle by ambulance with serious injuries.
They were returning from Legoland at the time of the accident, according to local reports.
A 40-year-old Cambridgeshire man, who was driving a Skoda said to have been traveling south on the northbound carriageway, also died at the scene.
Terrified fellow drivers called 999 to report the Skoda on the M6, moments before flames erupted from the two vehicles which collided with each other.
The official identification of those killed has not yet been carried out, but their families are being assisted by specialist police officers.
Maggie Snodgrass, 54, who knew spa therapist Jade, has since paid tribute to her mother.
She told The Times: “I just can’t believe it. It’s so heartbreaking.
“She was a very sweet, very pleasant and quiet girl. Jade always had a smile on her face.”
Snodgrass described Jade as a “good mum” and a “lovely and down-to-earth girl”.
She said that when Mom passed by her apartment, she “always came in and said hello.”
“It’s devastating,” she said.
Referring to McEnroe’s mother’s grief, Snodgrass added, “I know how it feels.”
Jade’s friends also shared their tributes to the “wonderful mum” on social media.
One wrote: “I always got her the same way, always kind with a beautiful smile on her face.
“We pray for the recovery of your little boy and for all the families affected by this absolute tragedy.”
Another said: “Absolutely devastating news. Life is so cruel.”
Cumbria Police said investigations were continuing into Tuesday’s collision, which happened after drivers reported digital displays on the motorway warning of an “oncoming vehicle”.
It said signs on the northbound carriageway flashed “oncoming vehicle” and advised drivers to slow to 20 mph.
One driver claimed he saw the Skoda going “the wrong way down lane three” and then, shortly afterwards, witnessed “smoke and flames”.
Police officers were on their way when further calls were received reporting that a Škoda had been involved in a head-on collision with a Toyota, the police said.
The horrific crash happened on the M6 northbound, just past Tebay Services in Cumbria, and police were called to the scene at 4.04pm on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said yesterday that officers were called to the scene of a fatal collision between a Skoda and a Toyota on the main highway and confirmed that five people had died.
It is assumed that the incident happened in the area of road works between junctions 38 and 39.
Two air ambulances were called and clouds of thick smoke appeared.
The motorway was closed between junctions 36 and 39 and was only reopened on Wednesday morning.
Four fire engines from nearby Penrith, Kendal and Shap were mobilized following the incident and fire crews remained at the scene for several hours.
The highway was reopened a few hours after the 4 p.m. incident.
