Unfortunately, it was discovered that the mother gave birth to a stillborn baby in the stall.
Detectives pleaded with the mother to come forward on Monday as concerns for her welfare grew.
West Yorkshire Police have now said they have identified the woman they believe to be the mother.
A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “A police investigation has identified a woman who is believed to be the mother of a newborn baby girl found dead at a public house in Oulton.
“She has now received appropriate medical care and is being given ongoing support.
“Thanks to everyone who supported us with our inquiries.”
The ambulance went to the scene where the baby was pronounced dead around 16:45.
It is believed the pub was in the middle of a Sunday roast when the heartbreaking discovery was made.
The owners apologized to customers on Facebook and remained closed on Tuesday.
